Introduction

(Q)How many of you have EVER RECEIVED a GIFT you DIDN’T LIKE and STRUGGLED to PRETEND YOU LIKED IT?
(Q) ANYONE here BAD GIFT-RECEIVERS in GENERAL??
🐢🐢
Selah = GREAT GIFT RECEIVER...
BRITTANY & I = LESS GOOD....
STORY: CHRISTMAS @ INLAWS…RECEIVING “PINK, TURTLNECK SWEATER” INTENDED for BRITTANY…NOT KNOWING MIXUP
🐢🐢
CONSIDER: DO WE EVER WONDER WHAT GOD THINKS as HE RECEIVES OUR “GIFTS”??
(Q) DO WE GIVE GOD WHAT HE WANTS…OR JUST WHAT WE WANT to GIVE?
HE’S MADE IT CLEAR WHAT HE’S LOOKING FOR
THIS is PROBLEM WE’LL BE EXAMINING THIS MORNING.
🐢🐢🐢 🐢🐢🐢

Recap:

Last Week:
KING SAUL EFFECTIVELY RUINS GREAT VICTORY
JONATHAN (SON) WINS VICTORY OVER PHILISTINES (CRAZY FAITH)
SAUL PUTS FORTH RASH OATH…ARMY CAN’T EAT TILL DINNER
ENDED W/ RASH VOW, NEARLY KILLED HIS OWN SON!
SAUL WAS ONE ALWAYS USING OTHERS....USING GOD & RELIGIOUS THINGS FOR HIS OWN BENEFIT…NEVER SERVING.
SAUL = OUTWARDLY SUCCESSFUL…BUT INWARDLY FALLING APART...

Text (1 Samuel 15:1-35 ESV)

Inciting Incident (v1-3)

1 Samuel 15:1–35 (ESV)
1 And Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over his people Israel; now therefore listen to the words of the Lord. 2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I have noted what Amalek did to Israel in opposing them on the way when they came up out of Egypt.
3 Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”
TEXT BEGINS: SAUL = COMMANDED to DESTROY AMALEKITES...
GROUP THAT OPPOSED ISRAEL on WAY FROM EGYPT to PROMISED LAND...
GOD HAD FORETOLD ...MEMORY of AMALEK WOULD BE BLOTTED OUT.
🐢🐢🐢
PROBABLY BOTHERSOME to YOU.
Reminder: WE NEVER HAVE MORAL HIGH GROUND AGAINST GOD...
THIS WAS GOD’S JUDGMENT UPON SIN & HIS ENEMIES…NOT RACIAL HATRED & MERE GENOCIDE
AMALEKITES LIVED in SIN FOR HUNDREDS of YEARS...
JUDGMENT WAS FINALLY COMING…
SAUL & ARMY = INSTRUMENT (LIKE FLOOD, FIRE & BRIMSTONE, EARTHQUAKES, ETC.)
Dale Davis: GOD’S VENGEANCE SHOULD BRING PEACE to BELIEVER…PART of GOD’S SALVATION for BELIEVER = JUST JUDGMENT UPON SINNERS...
HARD to ACCEPT…BUT IT’S GOD’S WAY & GOD’S DECISION...
REMEMBER, GOD WAS MERCIFUL for HUNDREDS of YEARS.... THERE WAS OPPORTUNITY to REPENT.
🐢🐢
COMMAND = DIFFICULT…BUT NOT UNCLEAR.
WE CAN’T EVER CHARGE GOD W/ BEING UNCLEAR! GOD’S OPINIONS = CLEAR...
OBEDIENCE TESTED in HARD THINGS...
LOVING NEIGHBOR = EASIER…LOVING ENEMY = HARDER...
AVOIDING MURDER = EASIER…AVOIDING HATRED = HARDER...
AVOIDING ADULTERY = EASIER…AVOIDING LUST = HARDER...
KINDNESS = EASIER…SELF-CONTROL & PATIENCE = HARDER...
PROOF is in the PUDDING....
(T) So, I don’t know about you, but I WOULDN’T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES to do what Saul was called to do. This isn’t an easy thing, so the QUESTION NOW IS, “DOES SAUL HAVE WHAT it TAKES??”
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Rising Action (v4-6)

4 So Saul summoned the people and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand men on foot, and ten thousand men of Judah. 5 And Saul came to the city of Amalek and lay in wait in the valley.
6 Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart; go down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
SAUL HEADS SOUTH to FIGHT AMALEKITES...
&& HE SPARES KENITES (ANOTHER NOMADIC GROUP) BASED on KINDNESS to ISRAEL on THE WAY FROM EGYPT to PROMISED LAND...
(T) And then the TEXT SAYS,
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Climax1 (v7-9)

7 And Saul defeated the Amalekites from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt. 8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword.
9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep and of the oxen and of the fattened calves and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. All that was despised and worthless they devoted to destruction.
SAUL DEFEATS AMALEKITES
BUT SAUL’S OBEDIENCE = PARTIAL...
KEPT KING as SOUVENIR...
KEPT GOOD STUFF
(T) So, on the surface it seems that SAUL WAS SOMEWHAT OBEDIENT, but the QUESTION IS, IS THIS GOOD ENOUGH for YAHWEH?
🐢🐢🐢 —31 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Setting (v10-11)

10 The word of the Lord came to Samuel: 11 “I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned back from following me and has not performed my commandments.” And Samuel was angry, and he cried to the Lord all night.
HARD to HEAR!…SAMUEL RECEIVED HARD THINGS B4…BUT THIS WAS DIFFICULT.
GOD REGRETTED APPOINTING SAUL AS KING...
NOT in SENSE of REPENTANCE OVER WRONGDOING...
BUT REMORSE…SAUL’S SIN CAUSED GOD GRIEF.
🐢🐢
(Q) DO YOU CONSIDER SIN THIS WAY?
SIN ANGERS GOD…BUT SIN ALSO GRIEVES GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT, IT’S UPSETTING.
🐢🐢
LIKEWISE, SAMUEL = UPSET TOO...
SAMUEL CRIES OUT to GOD for ENTIRE NIGHT, WRESTLING W/ GOD REGARDING SAUL...
(T) So, SAUL was GIVEN a HARD TASK && HE FAILED, and now SAMUEL is GIVEN a HARD MESSAGE that surely none of us would want to deliver. So, WILL SAMUEL CONTINUE HIS PATTERN OF OBEDIENCE to share tough news, or will he cave this time? I can’t imagine what he would have been feeling at this point, so let’s see his response, look at verse 12.
🐢🐢🐢 —29 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Inciting Incident (V12-13)

12 And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning. And it was told Samuel, “Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set up a monument for himself and turned and passed on and went down to Gilgal.” 13 And Samuel came to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed be you to the Lord. I have performed the commandment of the Lord.”
WHAT AN EXAMPLE in SAMUEL…WHEN MISSION = DIFFICULT, HE GETS UP EARLY to OBEY!
🐢🐢
(Q) ARE YOU LIKEWISE QUICK & EAGER to OBEY?
RISING EARLY = DIFFICULT for MANY of US...
SOME PEOPLE SET 15 ALARMS...
SAMUEL RISES EARLY (SOMEHOW) to OBEY GOD...
🐢🐢
SAMUEL PREPARING to OBEY… & SAUL SETS UP MONUMENT to HIMSELF!
SAMUEL HAD SET UP EBENEZER STONE (GOD HAS HELPED) BUT SAUL GLORIES in HIMSELF....
&& SAUL GREETS SAMUEL CHEERFULLY, ANNOUNCING HIS OBEDIENCE...
IS SAUL OUTSPOKEN BECAUSE HE KNOWS the TRUTH??
(T) So, WILL SAMUEL COMPROMISE now and BELIEVE SAUL’S REPORT of OBEDIENCE, OR WILL HE STAND WITH GOD and believe what God told him regarding Saul? The text says in verse 14,
🐢🐢🐢 —22 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Rising Action (v14-16)

14 And Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears and the lowing of the oxen that I hear?” 15 Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites, for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen to sacrifice to the Lord your God, and the rest we have devoted to destruction.”
16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Stop! I will tell you what the Lord said to me this night.” And he said to him, “Speak.”
SAMUEL RESPONDS, IF YOU’VE OBEYED, HOW COME I’M HEARING ANIMALS???
🐢🐢
SAUL WASN’T SUPPOSED to BENEFIT!!
NOT a TIME for SPOIL…THIS IS GOD’S JUDGMENT & VENGEANCE
&& SAUL YOU’VE SET UP MONUMENT to YOURSELF??
IF THIS WHAT WE’VE COME TO??
🐢🐢
SAUL RESPONDS AS EXPECTED: BLAMING & EXCUSES.
SAUL SAYS: THE PEOPLE SPARED the ANIMALS. IT WAS THEM.
MIND YOU, WE’VE KEPT THEM to SACRIFICE/WORSHIP GOD = GOOD REASON for DISOBEDIENCE!
WE MIGHT BENEFIT,, BUT IT’S REALLY ALL FOR GOD...
(T) BUT SAMUEL DOESN’T BUY IT... and when Saul is making excuses and describing why they had a reason to disobey, SAMUEL TELLS HIM to STOP TALKING and then says that he has a MESSAGE FROM THE LORD, and now he shares in verse 17,
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

More Tension (v17-21)

17 And Samuel said, “Though you are little in your own eyes, are you not the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel. 18 And the Lord sent you on a mission and said, ‘Go, devote to destruction the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’
19 Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? Why did you pounce on the spoil and do what was evil in the sight of the Lord?” 20 And Saul said to Samuel, “I have obeyed the voice of the Lord. I have gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me. I have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and I have devoted the Amalekites to destruction.
21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the best of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”
SAMUEL BEGINS RECOUNTING GOD’S GOODNESS to SAUL...
SAUL YOU WERE a NOBODY… & GOD DECIDED to USE YOU!
GOD MADE YOU SUCCESSFUL && THIS IS HOW YOU RESPOND??
🐢🐢
NOTE SAMUEL’S DESCRIPTION:
“POUNCING” on the SPOIL
DOING WHAT WAS EVIL in GOD’S EYES...
DIFFERENT THAN SAUL’S!!
🐢🐢
WHEN IT COMES to SIN ONLY 1 OPINION MATTERS! & IT’S NOT SAUL’S & IT’S NOT OURS....
GOD = CREATOR & LAWGIVER…HE’S DETERMINED RIGHT FROM WRONG.
GOD HAS GIFTED US WITH CONSCIENCE...
CONSCIENCE = MORAL COMPASS
TRUE COMPASS POINTS NORTH.
NORTH POLE = FIXED…LIKE GOD’S OPINIONS ARE FIXED...
BROKEN COMPASSES DON’T CHANGE THAT NORTH = NORTH...
SEARED CONSCIENCES DON’T CHANGE THAT RIGHT = RIGHT & SIN = SIN...
🐢🐢
SAUL’S RESPONSE? MORE BLAME/EXCUSES...
I’VE OBEYED!! (DID TAKE AGAG THOUGH)
THE PEOPLE TOOK the SPOIL.
BUT THEY DISOBEYED W/ GOOD INTENTIONS!! THE ANIMALS = SACRIFICE...
IF YOU STEAL to GIVE MONEY to THE CHURCH, DOES THAT CHANGE THAT YOU’RE STEALING??
(T) So, WILL SAUL’S ATTEMPT @ PERSUASION WORK? Did he effectively show Samuel that his sin wasn’t actually that bad and that it was really the people’s fault anyways? IS GOD GOING to BUY IT?? The text goes on to say in verse 22,
🐢🐢🐢 —20 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Great Tension/Partial Climax (v22-23)

22 And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”
SAMUEL’S RESPONSE: OBEDIENCE TRUMPS WORSHIP...
TRUE WORSHIP = OBEDIENCE to GOD’S COMMANDS.
REBELLION = DIVINATION…PRESUMPTION = INIQUITY & IDOLATRY...
SAUL’S DISOBEDIENCE in EFFECT = SEEKING OTHER gods… WOW!!
🐢🐢
WHAT a CHALLENGE...OBEDIENCE = BETTER THAN WORSHIP.
MANY PEOPLE MIGHT TRY & COVER OVER SINS W/ SUNDAY WORSHIP...
IF GOD DOESN’T HAVE YOUR MONDAY-SATURDAY, THEN HE DOESN’T WANT YOUR SUNDAY EITHER.
AN HOUR of WORSHIP on SUNDAY…GIVING…VOLUNTEERING…NOTHING COVERS UP DISOBEDIENCE to GOD.
🐢🐢
GOD DESIRES ALL of IT...
GOD DESIRES WORSHIP…HE DESIRES OFFERING/SACRIFICE…ETC.
NOT “EITHER/OR”....BUT “BOTH/AND”
BUT....IF GOD HAD to PICK ONE... IT’D BE OBEDIENCE.
Dale Davis: “All the smoke and fat on Gilgal’s altar would never replace the pleasure God could have had from the living sacrifice of Saul’s will” (p. 159).
PROBLEM: SAUL MISSED IT.
PARTIAL OBEDIENCE in GOD’S EYES = TOTAL REJECTION.
(T) Now, I can only imagine what it would feel like to be rebuked by God’s prophet in such plain language. HOW WOULD YOU RESPOND? WHAT COULD YOU EVEN SAY to this? Well WE’LL SEE SAUL’S RESPONSE...look at verse 24,
🐢🐢🐢 —17 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

More Tension (v24-25)

24 Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. 25 Now therefore, please pardon my sin and return with me that I may bow before the Lord.”
FOR FIRST TIME…SAUL ACKNOWLEDGES HE’S SINNED.
FEAR of MAN TRUMPED FEAR of GOD…SO OBEDIENCE to MAN TRUMPED OBEDIENCE to GOD....
PROBLEM: SAUL ACKNOWLEDGED WRONGDOING…BUT HE’S NOT TRULY REPENTANT...
HE ASKS SAMUEL to RETURN W/ HIM…SMOOTH THINGS OVER…WANTS it TO LOOK GOOD...
SAUL QUICKLY ADMITS WRONGDOING…BUT HE WANTS to AVOID CONSEQUENCES.
HE’S SORRY HE’S CAUGHT…NOT SORRY HE DID IT.
SORROW FOR SIN RATHER THAN CONSEQUENCES = TRUE REPENTANCE.
🐢🐢
CALLER DRIVEN RADIO SHOW (JOHN DELONY):
MAN LEFT WIFE & FAMILY FOR COWORKER...
MOVED IN W/ HER
GOT DUMPED...
&& THEN CAME CRYING...
WASN’T SORRY UNTIL THEN
& SUDDENLY WANTS WIFE BACK.
🐢🐢
GENUINE REPENTANCE = PART of CHRISTIAN LIFE...
Richard Philipps, “The Christian faith is not a religion for people who do not sin. But it is also not a religion for those who will not repent.
REPENTANCE = HUMBLE ACCEPTANCE of WRONGDOING…SORROW FOR GRIEVING GOD && TURNING FROM SIN!
(T) So, SAUL is TRYING to GET OUT of the CONSEQUENCES of his DISOBEDIENCE, which is CERTAINLY EXPECTED, but the question is, WILL IT WORK?? Verse 26 says,
🐢🐢🐢 —13 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Climax (v26-29)

26 And Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you. For you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.” 27 As Samuel turned to go away, Saul seized the skirt of his robe, and it tore.
28 And Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. 29 And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, for he is not a man, that he should have regret.”
SAMUEL REITERATES GOD’S JUDGMENT...
SAUL’S REJECTION of GOD’S COMMANDMENT = GOD’S REJECTION of SAUL as KING...
WITHOUT HEART of OBEDIENCE YOU CAN’T LEAD OTHERS...
BEFORE YOU LOOK the PART...
BEFORE YOU HAVE GREAT VISION...
BEFORE YOU’RE A GOOD DELEGATOR...
BEFORE YOU’RE INSPIRING
YOU MUST HAVE A HEART FOR GOD & WALK in OBEDIENCE…YOU MUST HAVE CHARACTER.
SAUL’S COMPROMISE DISQUALIFIED HIM...
🐢🐢
SAUL in DESPERATION REACHES for ROBE & TEARS IT… & IT BECOMES PICTURE of KINGDOM LEAVING SAUL
CH. 13: SAUL’S DISOBEDIENCE = NO DYNASTY
CH. 15: SAUL’S DISOBEDIENCE = REJECTION of HIM as KING.
🐢🐢
NOW, GOD’S JUDGMENT WAS DECREED.
EARLIER: GOD REGRETTED in SENSE of REMORSE...
NOW: GOD DOESN’T REGRET in SENSE of CHANGING MIND…PUNISHMENT WAS DECREED.
(T) So, now that Saul’s been told a second time that he’s been rejected because of his rejection of God’s command, HOW WILL HE RESPOND?? The text says in verse 30,
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Falling Tension (v30-31)

30 Then he said, “I have sinned; yet honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may bow before the Lord your God.” 31 So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul bowed before the Lord.
AGAIN, SAUL = CONCERNED OVER OUTWARD LOOKS...
DESIRED to LOOK GOOD RATHER THAN BE GOOD...
2ND TIME SAUL DOESN’T REQUEST FORGIVENESS, JUST COMPANY!!
FOR SAKE of ISRAEL, SAMUEL OBLIGES…BUT CONSEQUENCES STILL STAND.
(T) And then the TEXT SAYS,,
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Resolution (v32-33)

32 Then Samuel said, “Bring here to me Agag the king of the Amalekites.” And Agag came to him cheerfully. Agag said, “Surely the bitterness of death is past.” 33 And Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag to pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.
SAMUEL FINISHES SAUL’S WORK...
KING AGAG WOULDN’T LAST as SOUVENIR…THIS WAS GOD’S JUDGMENT UPON SIN & AGAG WOULDN’T ESCAPE IT…KING CERTAINLY DESERVED IT MOST!
(T) And now our TEXT is GOING to CLOSE in verse 34 this morning,
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

Conclusion (v34-35)

34 Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house in Gibeah of Saul. 35 And Samuel did not see Saul again until the day of his death, but Samuel grieved over Saul. And the Lord regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel.
SAUL & SAMUEL DEPART…NOT SEEING EACH OTHER AGAIN EVEN THOUGH LIVING CLOSELY...
TEXT CLOSES:
SAMUEL GRIEVING
GOD REGRETTING (GRIEVING) HE MADE SAUL KING...
LET THIS NEVER BE OUR TESTIMONY....
(T) And so we can learn from this text today, the idea that,
🐢🐢🐢 —8 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Hom. Idea:

God desires obedience even more than worship, for true worship manifests itself in obedience to God’s commands.

Gospel:

2 THINGS (GOD’S NATURE) in TODAY’S TEXT:
GOD = HOLY & HATES SIN.
OUR RESPONSE to GOD’S JUDGMENT in TEXT....PROB. SHOWS WE UNDERESTIMATE SIN...
GOD DOESN’T CHANGE HIS MIND.
NOT VACILLATING BETWEEN OPINIONS...
GOD WILL EXECUTE HIS DECISIONS.
🐢🐢
IN N.T. WE SEE THESE QUALITIES AGAIN....
GOD HAS PROMISED FUTURE DAY of JUDGMENT & GOD DOESN’T LIE.
2ND COMING = CONSUMMATION of CHRISTIAN HOPE…BUT DAY of JUDGMENT FOR NONBELIEVER.
GOD’S HATRED of SIN & WRATH WILL BE on DISPLAY...
GOD DOESN’T CHANGE HIS MIND… THIS WILL HAPPEN.
🐢🐢
IN MIDST of BAD NEWS…THERE’S GOOD NEWS.
YOU DON’T HAVE to BEAR the WRATH of GOD ALONE...
JESUS CHRIST = PROPITIATION…WRATH-BEARING SACRIFICE...
GREATEST QUESTION: HOW CAN GOD BE JUST & JUSTIFY the SINNER??? CALVARY’S CROSS.
GOD’S JUSTICE REQUIRES HE JUDGE SIN…BUT BECAUSE GOD is ALSO LOVE, HE MADE a WAY.
🐢🐢
WHILE NATURAL CONSEQUENCES FOR SIN MIGHT STILL EXIST…YOU CAN BE SPARED FROM ALL ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES BECAUSE of CHRIST!!!
CONFESS JESUS IS LORD
BELIEVE in HEART, GOD RAISED HIM FROM DEAD
HE DIED FOR YOU & WAS RAISED...
BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH YOU CAN BE SAVED.
ALL of US HAVE DISOBEYED…BUT CHRIST OBEYED WHERE WE DIDN’T
&&& THROUGH HIM ALONE WE CAN BE RIGHT WITH GOD & SPARED FROM COMING JUDGMENT.
🐢🐢🐢 — 4 minutes left —🐢🐢🐢

Takeaways:

Learn about God?

GOD HATES SIN… & ONLY GOD’S STANDARDS MATTER…
GOD ISN’T WISHY-WASHY…GOD WILL DO WHAT HE HAS DECREED.

Learn about Us?

1. OUR OBEDIENCE to GOD MUST BE ENTIRE…PARTIAL OBEDIENCE = DISOBEDIENCE…GOD DESIRES ALL of US...
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢

App.

OBEDIENCE…THANKFULLY OUR TASK is EASIER THAN SAUL’S...
LOVE GOD & NEIGHBOR = PARAMOUNT COMMAND of NT… + COUNTLESS OTHERS… “ONE ANOTHERS of SCRIPTURE”
🐢🐢
THANKFULLY, WE LIVE IN LIGHT of GRACE RECEIVED…OUR OBEDIENCE DOESN’T MAKE US SAVED. BUT IN LIGHT OF SALVATION, WE WALK in OBEDIENCE.
SCRIPTURE = CLEAR
CONSCIENCE (UNSEARED) = CLEAR
HOLY SPIRIT GUIDANCE to OBEY GOD = CLEAR
DISOBEDIENCE = BIG DEAL,, GRIEVING to GOD...
&& IF YOU LIVE IN REBELLION MONDAY-SATURDAY, GOD DOESN’T WANT SUNDAY EITHER…INSTEAD HE WANTS ALL.
🐢🐢
GOD DOES DESIRE WORSHIP & SACRIFICE & OFFERING ETC. BUT HE DESIRES OBEDIENCE FIRST.
IDEALLY, GOD GETS BOTH…BUT IF HE HAD to PICK, HE’D TAKE OBEDIENCE FIRST…WHERE DO YOU STAND THIS MORNING?
