Test the Spirits

I. You must guard your theology and heart from false teachers who are leaving the church and departing into the world (1 John 4:1)

II. The Spirit of God testifies to Jesus' salvific work and those who trust in Christ, confess him as Lord and Savior (1 John 4:2-3)

III. Through Christ, there is nothing to fear, for we are safe with in him (1 John 4:4).

IV. The world listens to itself, while we listen to God through his Word (1 John 4:5-6).

Those who have the Spirit of truth believe in the Scriptures and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
