In Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 2:28–29. Nashville, TN: T. Nelson.

Summarize and Transition to a Related Invitation
During Pentecost Peter stands up and says
And it will be in the last days, says God,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all people;
then your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.
I will even pour out my Spirit
on my servants in those days, both men and women
and they will prophesy.
The Spirit is the promise of God’s active dimension of His character at work in you and through you to accomplish His work.
