1 Corinthians 1:1–9 NKJV
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5 that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
May God Bless The Reading Hearing & Understanding of his Precious Word!
Prayer

Confession of Faith

I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name

Intro:
Sometimes, In a world with a lot of noise, distractions, and unknowns, my heart, and I believe your heart just needs some peace! Sometimes just for a moment we need a little comfort and Godly direction! Today let’s look at what Paul says that I believe speaks directly to our desire to give comfort not only to our soul, but to show others who are going through how to find comfort if you are just tired of the drama, in addition why we need to keep on living!
Doesn’t matter how long you have been on this earth you have a calling from the Lord and - God is not done with you yet!
1 Corinthians 1:1 NKJV
1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
Hear me - Paul begins by identifying himself as a called apostle. Just as Paul was divinely chosen for his mission, each of us is called to a unique purpose in God's kingdom. Each of us is called to a unique task, a unique work, a unique responsibility! We have to embrace this! The call can and will look and feel different depending on what God wants you to do in this stage of your life!
Embracing this calling helps us find fulfillment and direction, despite life's challenges. The calling of the apostleship was not just for a select few; it extends to us all as Christ's followers.
As a follower of Jesus Christ each of us is a messenger for Jesus! An ambassador for Jesus! You are not a messenger of yourself or anyone else, but of Jesus Christ.
It is God's will that will call anyone who will tell people about Jesus. God is the one who asks each of us men and women to serve Him, not the other way around. Paul was called by God to be an apostle, which means that God chose him to be a messenger, a witness, or a missionary to spread the message of Christ to people.
The main point is that God, not people, is the one who calls and sends the messenger and the message. You can’t do anything for the kingdom of God because of who you are nor because anyone else says so! Only God picks and calls him. In Paul's case, some of the Christians in Corinth were doubting and rejecting that God had called him! This is what happens to us today! The moment people say negative things or start acting like you were not given a task to do by God - we start listening to them instead of what the Holy Spirit has given us to do!
John 15:16 NKJV
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
Galatians 1:1 NKJV
1 Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead),
Don’t let haters stop you from doing what God has called you to do in this season of your life! You are not too old and you are not too young to serve Jesus! Hear is my point! God call each of us to work for the kingdom! We are all brothers and sisters together! That doesn't make any us us better or more important than other follower of Jesus Christ. Each one of has a job as a messenger of God that is important and should be valued, but that doesn't make my job or your job any better than someone else job in the kingdom!
Romans 12:3 NKJV
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Ok Let’s go a little further
1 Corinthians 1:2–3 NKJV
2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Say Grace - Say Unity
Paul emphasizes unity and grace by addressing the church collectively and extending grace and peace.
The church comes from God. United Christian Fellowship is God’s Church! It is God’s church locally, nationally and
internationally! This isn’t Pastor Ken and 1st Lady’s Church - this is God’s church! It is the church that God created, it started as a bible study, and God moved it to a ministry that is serving people daily with the message of Jesus Christ! Every Church belongs to God and each of us belong to God and we must do what God commissions us to do!
God is not done with you Yet!
God may be calling you to have his church in the house he gave you! It’s still his church! God maybe calling you to serve the widows and the orphans - it still His church! God may be calling you to feed the homeless - it’s still his church,God may be calling you to minister to your family - It’s still his church!
When we work for the kingdom of God - it gives us purpose! It gives us life and vitality! There are young people who need to hear the Gospel in a way that only you can share it! It still belongs to God! You don’t need a title to tell someone that Jesus Loves Them! Remember you are the church!!
Acts 20:28 NLT
28 “So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders.
Titus 2:14 NLT
14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
Let’s go back to basics:
don’t forget Jesus took all of us who are believers and set us apart! He sanctified each of us! The word sanctified means to be set apart or separated! God's church is to be set apart and separated unto Him. The idea is that each Christ follower we are not to be taken out of the world, but we are to be different from the world. Our life-style and Our purpose in life are to be different. We are to live holy lives and to no longer love the world! That’s why we are the church and no matter where you go the church is right there!
1 Peter 1:14–15 NKJV
14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
I like super hero’s Those who know me - know I love DC and Marvel movies - I grew up on comics! The thing about super heroes is that they typically were different from the regular folks - so they had to operate differently right in the midst of the norm! Spiritually, that's how I look at us - we have to share the good news of Jesus Christ, living our lives separated but looking like the norm!
Back to basics
I think many of us are forgetting this:
As the church we have been separated to serve God or we are sanctified to God. Don’t forget you can only be set apart to God through Jesus Christ. No person can approach God—no person can ever be set apart to God—except through the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why our ministry and what exciting about this is we get to tell people how we became set apart to God! That's our testimony!
We get the opportunity to tell people
1 Timothy 1:15 (NLT)
15“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.
God is not Done with me yet! God is not done with you yet!
Quit living your life as if you have nothing to give to this world! Quit living your life as if your time has come and gone! Quit living your life as if people don’t want to hear what you have to say! Live your life separated to God because people are watching you ! Then they will listen to what you have to say!
Next wee we will continue in our Series on 1st Corinthians!
