Introduction:
I remember the ride home after my last semester of college.
Excited / Happy / Anxious
But I was also scared.
“I didn’t find the one.”
“Our church back home doesn’t have any people my age.”
“Mom and dad are always, asking
And for a long time I was scared.
Challenges:
Being single past college can be a scary thing. Consider with me a few reasons why:
You THINK you’re not enough
Everyone around me is married
I can’t get a certain job because I’m not married
I feel
You THINK your opportunity for marriage is over
You THINK you’re purpose-less
“Single in a Church of Familes”
1 Peter 2:9-10 “9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
Chosen:
That tells me we fit in, are accepted
