Zechariah 4:6–9 (KJV 1900)
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,
Saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain:
And he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house;
His hands shall also finish it;
And thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent Me unto you.
Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV)
10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which go to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

Start Here

Read verses 8 and 9 above. The question here is, Who is ‘Me’ in verse 9. It can’t be Zechariah, let me read it again: verse 9 “And thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent ‘Me’ unto you” you being Zechariah. But going back to verse 8 we see that the ‘Word of the LORD is not a message, it’s a person “The Word of the LORD came unto me, saying”. Now remember the Pro-log of John 1:1-2
John 1:1–2 (KJV 1900)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. and verse 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, So now going back to Zechariah verse 8 ‘The Word of the Lord isn’t a message, it’s defiantly a person, it is the pre Incarnate Jesus Christ. So you could read verse 8 as; ‘Moreover the Lord Jesus Christ came unto me saying, 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house (the Temple); His hands shall also finish it; And thou shalt know that the LORD of Hosts [Yahweh] hath sent ‘Me’ [The Lord Jesus Christ] unto you [Zechariah]. So in this short passage of scripture you have both God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And now going back to the last sentence in verse 6 (read 6 above). So in this short passage of scripture you have the Trinity in the Old Testament. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit’
And lastly reading verse 10 (read verse 10 above). So Jesus is there with seven Angels that are the eyes of God the Father. Now on to Zechariah 3
Zechariah 3:1-5 (KJV 1900) I’m going to read and comment on it.
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before The Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; Even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
The filthy garments represent sin and verse 4 says that. verse 4
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee
, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. 5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
The garments represent Righteousness. So the question is, who can forgive sin and make someone Righteous, only Deity can do that. So The Angel of the Lord is the manifestation of Deity. It’s the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ
Jesus [God the Son] has manifested Himself in The Angel of the Lord to appear to Zechariah in a vision. Now there’s one more point to make that we passed over in verse 2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee. So both God the Father, and God the Son are in this passage of scripture. So in chapter 3 we have two members of the Trinity, and in chapter 4 we have all three members of the Trinity, in the Old Testament.
