What does is mean?

That Scripture contains all the knowledge and wisdom we need for salvation and to live a life that glorifies and honors God.
This means that you do not need some outside source our knowledge to expand upon what is contained in the Bible for these purposes.
In other words, Scripture is complete. There is not something missing that needs to be added.
This also means that you do not need a person or group of people to give you a correct interpretation of Scripture, as its meaning is available to all

What does it NOT mean?

That using outside resources is wrong.
That getting advice or help from other places is wrong.
That

Where does it come from?

The Bible
2 Timothy 3:16–17 CSB
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Galatians 1:8 CSB
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him!
Emphasized at The Reformation
The distinction is that the reformers believed that through Scripture alone you could know the truth of God without an infallible church to relay that information to you.

Why does it matter to you?

Bible as ultimate authority for your life.
Seeking God’s solution to the issues you face in life.
Trusting in God for your provision.

Keeping this in mind for our next Study.
