· Definition – a disciples is a follower or student of a teacher, leader, or philosopher.
· Distinctions: different from a fan (admirer) or a student (studies and knows a lot about)
o A disciple is an apprenticeand adjusts their lives to become like their teacher.
o Example - From fan to follower. 1982 wrestling camp. Gable Trained.
· Mark 1:17-18 they left their nets and followed him…
o We all follow someone(s) – parents, teachers, ideologies (people with answers).
o Why we follow. We see in those we follow something we want (value).
o Who do you follow (imitate, order your life around)?
The Destination: Where you are headed. Luke 6:39-40.
