Notes
Transcript
We are in our 3rd week of this series, which is looking at a variety of topics, such as worldview, individualism, and human value (axiology). The last 2 weeks we’ve dove into some different worldviews that are prevalent here in the West. Things such as Theism, Humanism, Naturalism, and Postmodernism. I realize that for some of you, these types of topics may be new; and that is OK. Although it may not appear so on the surface, these topics are very much related to God’s word.
I do not believe it is God’s will for his followers to walk around with blinders on, totally ignorant and not caring about the people that surround us every day. Today, we are going to turn our attention to the subject of individualism. This subject is linked with the concept of worldview, but is also different enough to be a separate subject. Let’s pray

Just a quick heads-up, this topic is closely related to the series we did last month: The Church as a body. ; in that series we spent 4 weeks talking about the importance of being one body, with Christ as the head. While the idea of individualism is related to that, we will be focusing more on the ideas or philosophy behind the idea.
