Hope through the Resurrection (John 20:11-18)
When Mary Magdalene discovered the empty tomb she wept, mostly out of fear that Jesus’ body had been stolen. To her, hope was lost. But the reality is that for Christ followers, we have hope in abundance! During times of tragedy and grief, the Bible says that we need not grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13).
The hope that Jesus is risen, the tomb is empty, and that He is coming again to take us to be with Him and with our loved ones who have died in Him should comfort us through our tears (1 Thess. 4:14–18).
