I. The Christian church should be known for its love because we represent God who is love
(1 John 4:7-8).

II. Love doesn't originate with us. It began with the Father loving sinners and sending the Son to die for our sins, so we can receive our greatest need - forgiveness
(1 John 4:9-10).

III. The world can see God's love through our participation in him
(1 John 4:10-12).

IV. Through the Spirit we confess the love of God through Jesus the Savior of the world, and by this, we know he lives in us
(1 John 4:13-16).

Love is a gift, receive it and give it away because God is love.
