The first reading is the history of Mercy.
Did you remember what happened with Joseph, because he was the beloved of his father, his brothers try to kill them, but Ruben save his life allow to be sold as slave, the in Egypt he granted the favor of the Pharaoh, and put in charge of the food of his country, when there was a big hunger in his country his brothers come for help and they found him.
1. Typology, how the figures of the Old Testament became clear in the New Testament.
And this is the great history for today, firs this Joseph, typology is word that we use to describe how in the Old Testament are symbols that announce the coming of Jesus.
For example, King David, and Adam himself – a figure of Jesus, a type of Jesus, pointing us to Jesus.
But in the life of Joseph, we can se a prophecy about Saint Joseph, who is call the New Joseph.
First, both of them had a father named Jacob.
The second parallel is that both of them were royalty.
The third parallel between the first Joseph and St. Joseph is that both of them
suffered and put up with the difficulties of their daily life without complaint.
The fourth similarity between Joseph and St. Joseph is that both left their homes
and went to Egypt.
The ability to understand dreams is their fifth similarity.
The sixth parallel is that of being the ruler of the king's house and possessions.
The seventh similarity between the Joseph of the Old and Joseph of the New
Testament is their purity and chastity.
The eighth parallel is that they both experienced poverty
Both Josephs were responsible for feeding the entire world, which is their ninth
similarity.
Lastly, we can go to both Josephs in times of need.
Go to Joseph.
2. If we want the blessing of Saint Joseph we have to imitate him.
The person that causes wrong where his brothers, the people who lived with him, but God allow these sufferings to full blessing upon Saint Joseph. With this sufferings God was preparing the way to give his blessings.
He did no revenge on his brothers, he pay his bad action giving food, this is the way that we have act if we want the blessing of Saint Joseph upon us, do no complain when we receive bad action, and respond the bac action doing good to those who make wrong to us.
