Explanation of the Passage

The Bishops Conference of PNG give us the option of celebrate two Bible Sunday and or the transfiguration of The Lord.

Let’s go through the Readings of Today.

The reading or Isaiah compares the Word of God with the rating that brings life and does not return in vain.

And the second reading show the Word of God as double-egged sword, is our weapon in this battle but, also open the heart and show the hidden thoughts of man.

And then in the Gospel we see Jesus in the battle with the evil using the Word of God.

After been Baptized Jesus Got his temptation, and when conquered where Israel has fallen.

How Jesus conquers the temptation by penance and obedient of the word of God, no the bible alone, you need to read the bible but also you must work.

Saint Tomas: that one should turn back to the medicine of Scripture; your words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against you (Ps 118:11)

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path. Ps 119:105

Look the temptation indeed but the things that we have to fight with the word of God.

If you are happy praise the Lord with the slams, if you are sad look the word of God for consolation, if you have a question look the lord, let the word of God be your light.

1. My mother got widows with 10 children, the small one 2 years.

She got very depress but she later on, join a bible group in the Catholic Church, and in the bible she found the consolation and the strength overcome the poverty and the suffering.

2. I, as an orphan I lack a lot in the advices my father.

When I was teenager, I start to read the bible and enjoying a lot the advices in those books, but my teachers of English were no catholic, they make me fall in their mistakes, so I lost the faith but keep the love to bible, and trough prayer God allow me latter to became a catholic.

So my advice for you in this Sunday do no full your heart of phone, or movies or any another ravish, fill your heart with the word of God. Be the word of God your partner in the sufferings and the troubles is the light of God in your foots.

But the word of God is no enough, because I tell you if possible that a boy learn in the school without food, send your boys to leaned math with out food.

We must read the bible but get the strength to do what its command with the Eucharist.

The others Church read the bible, and because they do not have the power of the sacraments to do the will of God, they do their own will and split, and split.

Put the bible al the center of your life, and eat Jesus in the Eucharist, they your threats will be sweet because, it would be not you, but Christ that is suffering inside of you.
