the gospel with the fathers
Jesus is teaching using parables, a compression using the early things to explain the heavenly things.
And he use to explain the meaning to his disciples, during this small podcast we will try to learn its meaning from the disciples of the first disciples, that we called apostolic and ancient fathers.
Matthew 13:47–53
Jesus
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. 48 When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. 49 Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.
51 “Do you understand all these things?” They answered, “Yes.” 52 And he replied, “Then every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old.” 53 When Jesus finished these parables, he went away from there.
There are two parables:
The kingdom of heaven:
What is the kingdom of heaven? Why in the kingdom of heaven are mixed bad and good persons?
The kingdom of heaven is the Church, and in the church are tree levels, the militant church, suffering church, and the heavenly church.
The militant is all the members that are in on earth working for his salvation, the suffering is all the members that die but are no ready to see God, they are in the purgatory, an the triumphant all the saints that are in heaven.
This parable refers to the Church while is on earth.
Is like a net, throw in to the sea, the sea is the world and the net is the church that is going to this ground to all corners to collet people for every race tribe, at any time.
When is full, when the time of the elected has been completed, we never know when this happened, but as the book of revelation say wait until the number of choses one has been completed.
His bring to the shore, is bringing the judgment of God, the bad will be trough to eternal punishment, and the good will be store in the hands of God for ever.
So church is calling all and in the Catholic church, they are mixed, we do no proclaim that we are all saints, that we do no have sinners.
When other Church are saying that they are saints, that they do no have sinful persons, that church is no the Church of Jesus, because Jesus come to call all, the rich and the poor, the wise and the ignorant, and Jesus says that they will be mixed until the end of the time.
Gregory. (Hom. in Ev. xi. 4.) Or otherwise; The Holy Church is likened to a net, because it is given into the hands of fishers, and by it each man is drawn into the heavenly kingdom out of the waves of this present world, that he should not be drowned in the depth of eternal death. This net gathers of every kind of fishes, because the wise and the foolish, the free and the slave, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak, are called to forgiveness of sin; it is then fully filled when in the end of all things the sum of the human race is completed;
Chrysostom. In the foregoing parables He has commended the Gospel preaching; now, that we may not trust in preaching only, nor think that faith alone is sufficient for our salvation, He adds another fearful parable, saying, Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net cast into the sea.
The Second Parable
The kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old
But if by things new and old in this passage we understand the two Testaments, who then bring forth things new and old when they speak the preaching of both Testaments, in their words and in their lives.[1]
The second parable, the old and the new, are the tow parts of the Bible, the Old Testament that is fulfill in the new, and the new that is conceal in the Old.
What is the Key Chris, when we read the Old Testament with the life of Christ, the Old Make sense and the new, became more clear.
Sencod part
To our daily life.
Firs if today you are a bad fish, because your sins, is time to change, because God can call you this day to the shore, to the end of your life, and is you do no change, you will throw in to the fire.
No not wait, there is no tomorrow, today is the day to change, because maybe is the las time that we see the sun.
Start to reading a list one page of the bible all day, Jesus is the key for the New And the Old.
Finally we have to pray
