THIS IS TRUE OF EVERY HUMAN BEING, ALL OF US WERE CREATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF GLORIFYING GOD. THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ALL CREATION

Revelation 4:11 ESV

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

CHRIST IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD

Colossians 1:15 ESV

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

TEXT FOR TODAY - Exodus 3:12

Exodus 3:12 ESV

He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

MOSES WAS BEING CALLED BY GOD SPECIFICALLY.

THIS GOD WHO SAYS ALL THIS TO MOSES IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS THE I AM

THEN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, FULLY AWARE OF WHAT THOSE WORDS “I AM” MEAN - IDENTIFIES HIMSELF AS THE I AM - 7 TIMES!!!!

WHEN CHRIST INVADES YOUR HEART, YOU TO, ARE BEING CALLED BY GOD, SPECIFICALLY!

YOU ARE BEING CALLED OUT OF THE WORLD, EVEN YOUR OWN SIN, AND GIVEN THE BLESSING OF LIVING AS YOU WERE CREATED TO LIVE.

THIS IS WHAT SALVATION IS- THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO MEET CHRIST AND BE IN REALATIONSHIP WITH HIM. IT MEANS TO BE CALLED…LIKE MOSES

YOUR CALLING IS TO LEAD PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR EGYPT - THAT IS YOUR CALL. YOUR VOCATION

WE SEE THIS IN THE CALL OF THE DISCIPLES (APOSTLE)

Matthew 4:18–19 ESV

While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Luke 5:8–9 ESV

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,

Luke 5:10 ESV

and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”

WE SEE IT IN THE CALL OF PAUL

But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

Your Calling Is Their Worship: Be Unstoppable

He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

HERE IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO GRASP AND PONDER

SEE YOUR LIFE AS GOD’S AVENUE FOR GLORY THROUGH YOU

When we come to know the Lord we walk as it were into the front door of our purpose: it is there, in front of us and for us. Nothing else, at the point, can define us.

Some practical implications from the call of Moses

I. Don’t Forget the Bush Moment

II. Don’t Fear How People Perceive You

Don’t Play the victim

Cannot let peoples perception of you or your calling to derail you from fulfilling it

III. Don’t Let Difficulty Derail You

IV. Don’t Act Less Than You Are

DON’T FEAR THE GREATNESS IF GREATNESS IS FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.

You are a child of the king. When has a child of the king lived like a pauper

V. Don’t Every See Failure As An Option

Worship is both our DELIGHT and our POWER -

Our significance is attached to our calling because our significance is our reason for being – how and why God designed us

This is about the calling of Moses

- Moses was running from his calling…thus from his purpose and that which for which he was made and his contribution to the advancement of the kingdom of God and the good of others.

You can never waste time but you can waste your time

OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD - HOLINESS

AND OBEDIENC TO THE CALL – DISCIPLINE

THERE IS THE SUPERNATURAL DIMENSION TO THE CALL – GOD WILL BE WITH MOSES AND GOD WILL SPEAK TO LEAD, GUIDE MOSES

- WITH ALL OF OUR LEARNING I THINK WE HAVE LOST THE ESSENCE OF OUR POWER: THE ENGAGING AND DYNAMIC WORK OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN AND THROGUH US FOR OUR JOY AND HIS GLORY

The amazing reality is that when God is calling us to he is already done. It really is just now us trusting him and walking in face. This is my sermon for next week as a kind of addendum to the first two messages.
