What has your experience been like with God?
Religious Duty
Parent’s thing/for older people.
Boring, but important
Seen hypocricy.
Irrelevant.
College can be the time when your relationship with God comes alive.

1. God created you. (Ps. 139:13, Gen. 1:27)

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
Genesis 1:27 ESV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Myth: “I’m not really the religious type.”
You don’t need to be.
“You may not think alot about God, but God thinks alot about you.”

2. God is reaching out to you to have a relationship with you through Jesus. (Matt. 11:28-30)

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus Died for our sins. (1 Cor. 15:3-4)

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
Jesus offers us eternal life. (John 3:16)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus is the only way to have an actual relationship with the Creator God. (John 14:6, 1 Tim. 2:5)

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

3. Jesus offers real life. (John 10:10)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Cleansing from guilt and sin. (1 Cor. 15:3)
New purpose. (2 Cor. 5:15)
Spirit filled life.
Eternal life in heaven with God.
From Death to Life
From destiny in hell, to destiny in heaven.
Peace that comes from God.
Freedom from bondage to sin.
Restored relationship with God.

4. Trusting Jesus is a big deal, but he will never rip you off. (Matt. 16:24-26)

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

I had been trying to save my life.
Not give God full control.
Dreams.
Sports
Love life
Career
Money
It never satisfied.
He will not rip you off

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
Hebrews 13:5 ESV
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Are you ready to start over with God?

To enter a new season with God?
To make your relationship with God your own?
To experience the life Jesus has for you?
To start over with God?
Sample Prayer:
“Jesus, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that you lived a perfect life, died on the cross and rose again to take the penalty for my sin. I commit my life to you. Please come into my life and take control. In Jesus name, Amen.”
