Pleasures versus Peace

1. Pleasures Produce Pain

Jas. 5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter

2. Pleasures Produce Poverty

Prv.21:17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

3. Pleasures Produce Passing away

1. Tim. 5: 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

4. Peace with GOD

Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Col. 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful

6. Peace that Passeth all understanding

Phi.4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
