Noel Perez - Back to the Basics: Hungering for the Word - Nehemiah 8

Getting with you, a few other things from the book of Nehemiah and we're going to be writing chapter 8 of the book of Nehemiah.

At to me this book is very special as a kid. I used to read my Bible. The Holy Bible every year and I did it to get a price from you know Grande on people so every year but they will reward those that read the most passage of the Bible. So I made it and a desire to to do that. So I read the Bible every year. So if you excuse me for a second I just going to switch this earpiece real quick and grab him. So, you can hear me without any problem, right? Thank you. Jesus and met a man. So I'm going to give you a little bit of background on the book of Nehemiah when we re Nehemiah. We see that Nehemiah serve in Babylon and as a servant in Babylon, it shows clearly that Nehemiah. We can see clearly that he had a position that he could have felt quite comfortable and not have a desire at all to go back to Jerusalem and deal with all the mess that was going on back. When I think about the situation in the book of Nehemiah is not much different than what we see today. I believe that is a hunger for God's word, but it is too much entertainment going on in church. There's too much agenda. There's too much Pro programming. There's too much of the secular coming out of into the church, trying to supply the knee or the word of God, and let me tell you, the music won't do it, that the jumping one, do it that that, you know, that that the picnic won't do it, that starts your part won't do it. The only thing that will satisfy the heart or the hunger of the people is God's War. Are you there with me? That's the only thing. God's word. So you can title this message, hungry, hungry, hungry, after that. Or you can title this message back to the basic

Wiha preacher today, I know for a fact that they will pay somebody to do research and find what the people need. So they do an outside research instead of going to the word of God and they fix their agenda and this is out of the topic that we going to talk this year. They're not so concerned about what God is saying, they're concerned about the presentation and going to keep the people happy in the church.

As a kid, I told you that I had a dream to come to the u.s. and I dream. Coming here. And I had a little promises from frames at work with different groups, missionary groups, buffering us, and Puerto Rican. Some other places will, they will make promises and I said when will be that time open the door for me to come here, And I'm blessed to be able to come to be able to go in and out, but my heart for some reason has never been settled in here. Never a, my friend always said that because, you know, you have a call to do mission in your heart. Remember, I'm working in Cleveland Tennessee. I came back to Charlottesville and the family that I was living with a. I plant a Hispanic Church in the central. Well we pray about it and we believe that you choose to stay here and pass of the Hispanic charge because we moving to South America that were in the DM. And we couldn't deny that the fact that we were there, because it was God's timing for us to be in the field. Do you know what is you calling your life? Do you understand that little things that happening is because Satan doesn't want you to get into the book and understand God's plans for you? Don't you know that we have a spiritual battle? And can only be understood and the light of his world. The people were hungry and when they heard the word, that life will change, It was Rejoice. That was a vdn and things started to change. The, we weren't changing our family. Do we want change in a community? Do we want change in our church? We must go back to the basic, the word of the Lord.
