Cultivating Intimacy with God

Introduction

Greeting

If we can take a second to greet someone, thanks everybody Lets grab a seat and i want to offically thank everyone for coming out tonight and its a honour to get to share the word of God.

Why

Many times we primar;ly think of christianity as a set of moral guildlines and we are called to the law of chrsit, or we think christianity to primary be about a mission we must live for becuase it ourlives us but we dont get a full picture if we dont learn to cultivate what jesus came and died for whoch was to reconcile man with God. Jesus came to restore a relatinship that was broken through sin, so he shed his blood to restore it but there something we miss about this topic that is neglected and leaves a void which is jesus didnt just restore our relationship with God but he showed us how to cultivate a intimite relationship with God in whcih we can all have through christ. In life there will be trouble and hard times and there will be blessings and mountain tops but what will sustain us in all those seasons is if we learn how to cultiavte and maintain a intime relationship with God .

Transition

I want us to look closly at the life of Jesus to see cultivactaed a intimate relationship with God, how we can adopt those practices into our lifes to strength our relationship with God.

i remember when i first started dating faith and how she wantedto see me almost everyday and i was shocked because i thought we would see each other 2 a week but now looking back its probably been the greatest glue to our relationship because that time together was invested in knowing each others values, thoughts and emotional pain and struggle which brought forth a strong bond. I learned that time is essential for healthy intimate relationship.
