Sunday School Lesson:

Genesis 1:

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Now before I get started, I want to say something about how I interpret the word of God. Originally the bible was given to us in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. But today we have many versions of it in English.

How many of you have heard the phrase lost in translation? Well, there is a lot of truth to that. When we translate something from one language to another sometimes things don’t quite come out the same. And I’ll give you an example of what that is.

If I was to say the word “Gurdo” in Spanish. To a Spanish person I would be saying fat male. But by simply changing the o to an A and changing the word to Gurda, I am now saying fat female.

So, you have one word that can express what sex the person is and is also an adjective and a noun all in one. But in English we would have to say. The fat boy or the fat girl. So, we have to add words to say the same thing in English.

Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic are even more complicated than that. When we translate Hebrew for example. We often have to add a series of words to replace just one word of Hebrew.

Those phrases are known as interpolations. And one of my favorite things about the KJV is it often gets those interpolations right. Not always. But more often than the modern versions.

Back to our example of Gurdo. Is he a fat baby? A fat man? A fat boy? All we get from Gurdo is fat male.

I said all that to say this. When trying to get a true idea of what the bible is teaching it helps to know the Hebrew and the Greek.

With that in mind lets go back and look at the first two verses of Genesis.

The proper translation for verse two is as follows:

And the earth became without form.

It is not the earth was without form.

Meaning something happened to the earth to cause it to be without form.

God had judged the earth already. Like the days of Noah’s flood. But we know only some of this story.

Jeremiah 4: 23-27.

23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.

27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Therefore, we find cities that are much older than Adam. The bible tells us that there was a civilization before Adams creation. Many people think that the world is only 7,000 years old. But the bible never says such a thing. Yes, there were people in this world created before Adam. If you hear me refer to them, I will call them pre-Adamites. Which again means people who were created before Adam.

Remember when Cain was kicked out of the garden, he built cities.

16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

When I was a young Christian, I asked my pastor. Where did Cain get his wife. And he would say. In the land of the Nod. Which is just a nice way of avoiding the question. But if you look at Genesis in its original Hebrew then you will know that Cain married a Pre-Adamite and built cities with them.

And look at Genesis 4:13

13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Now preachers who know this would never teach it. But I am not concerned about teaching you religion. My job is to teach you the word of God as it is. And the idea that Adam was the first man God made isn’t at all what the bible teaches.

Genesis is the book of beginnings. We know that everything that was made, was made by God. We intuitively recognize design. When I pick up a book to read it. I know that someone had to write it. Then someone had to all those pages and design a cover for it. It is just common sense to me to know that this book did not design and write itself. It had to have an author.

Today many people have been convinced that the complicated design that we see in this world just happened by accident. But deep down we all know that it had to have a designer. And one who is so far above our understanding that it must be God.

Our kids have been talked out of seeing Gods design in the beauty that surrounds us. And it’s crazy how convincing these people can be.

When I cut myself air hits the blood and my body creates a natural band aid. And then after a few days the scab peels off and it looks like nothing ever happened. Folks that is design.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made. If you want to hear a really good Christian scientists explain just how little we understand about how life came about. You should check out James Tour. He is a cellular biologist who lectures on how they have attempted to create life in a lab. They are given all of the ingredients to make one single cell. And they cannot do it. It is far too complicated to be done by man and even given trillions of years life can never be duplicated.

Romans 1:18 says:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

The word created in Hebrew is BARRA. Which means to make something out of nothing. When someone asks the question how do we get all this from nothing. Tell them the bible explains it perfectly in the word BARRA which again means to take nothing and make something.

People are uncomfortable with things that are supernatural. But creation itself is supernatural. Life is supernatural. We can look around and explain a lot of what we see. We can say well the wound on my hand healed because I have an immune system. So, we have a limited ability to understand certain things. But because we have more understand of how things work than we have ever had many people just assume that everything has an explanation, and nothing can ever be super-natural. But again. I suggest listening to James Tour on YouTube a cellular biologist and you will conclude that life is supernatural.

God transcends the natural. And the evidence of that is all around you.

Now back to Genesis 1:6

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

This is something I hadn’t planned on getting into for some time. But here it is so, I’m going to deal with it.

What is the firmament? Now this is what I believe. And the bible backs me up on this and so does history. But you are free to say brother Tim’s crazy and I don’t agree.

But we basically live in a snow globe. This snow globe is surrounded by water. And this firmament is a type of shield around us. Think in terms of a snow globe. I do not believe that there is any such thing as space. Space is a lie just like Darwinism is a lie. We did not evolve from apes. And nobody has ever been to a place called space because it doesn’t exist. Before you go to thinking I am crazy. Let me quote a few people:

“Nothing has or ever will penetrate the firmament”

Dr. John Mack Department of defense.

“The Van Allen radiation belts are nothing more than the firmament made by the creator.”

Brett Salsbury United States Intelligence.

The Dome is real. Nasa is a hoax. Nothing has ever been above 150,000 feet. It is not possible and is easily proveable. Again Brett Salisbury US Intelligence.

We were taught in school that when Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492 that he discovered that the world was round. But there is no truth to that. Columbus knew exactly where he was going. To the New World. And he was carrying a group of expelled Jews to South America because they had been kicked out of Spain for the fourth time. Yes, even the history you were taught is a lie. They were kicked out of Spain for kidnapping Christian children and sacrificing them. And for Usury. But that’s another story for another time.

Historically speaking nobody believed that the earth was a ball. And until recently there were senior citizens who were alive from the 1920’s who said that thy never heard anything about the earth being a spinning ball. To them the firmament was a circle, and the earth was flat.

When you look up at the blue sky. You are seeing the waters above.

Now you may be asking what about when we went to the moon. Never happened. The moon landing was filmed in a Hollywood studio.

But what about all those pictures of space? That is all they are. They are nothing more than pictures. Artist’s renderings. But what about pictures of earth from space? Look at them and start comparing them. You will find out that no two pictures of the earth are the same. The continents are always in different places. This is because there are no pictures of the earth from space.

It is all a lie to convince you that there is no God. The devil has that much control over the world that you live in. The moon is plasma. And when you look at it you can see the reflection of the continents on it.

For the earth to be a round spinning ball. The earth would have to curve at the rate of one inch per every 8 miles. But nowhere on the earth can any such curve be found.

NOWHERE.

I am going to do a lesson on this sometime in the future using the word of God. And you will see just how deceived we have been by this spinning ball earth stuff.

Back to 1:14

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Now in school we were told that the moon is a giant rock floating in space. And that it reflects the light of the sun. But the bible says that the moon is one of two lights. That’s right. The moon isn’t a rock. It’s a light.

And these lights are within the firmament. First of all, the moon is its own light. And the light from the moon is measurable and it’s also cold. I don’t know if you have ever been fishing at night on a full moon. But if you have then you know. Even on a summer night that moon light is cold.

Another lie of modern science is that the sun is 93 million miles away. If you believe that then go get yourself a P90X camera and start taking pictures of the sun. Then you can explain to the rest of the world how the sun that is supposed to be 93million miles away is sitting among the clouds in our atmosphere.

What I’m telling you is that everything we have been told is a lie.

Now the creation of the first man. Not Adam but a different man is here. But lets look at verse.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,

Now why would they have to replenish the earth? Think about it. God is telling this type of man here in Genesis 1 to refill the earth.

You cannot re-fill something that was never full. It was full of a previous man. And this previous man had almost all died out during the fall of Satan. Almost. They were still around. But the earth needed to be replenished. And so God created this new type of man.

Now most ministers today teach that Noah had three sons. And he did. That one son was a Hebrew another son was black and another son was Asian. But folks that is nonsense. All three of Noahs son were the same as him. God created all the races at different times in Genesis. And some races sprang from the mixing of those races. But they were all made in Genesis. With one exception. And we will not have time to get into that today.

But I can tell you that Satan and fallen Angels saw the sons of man that they were fair. And took them and made them wives.

When Jesus talks about the tares planted by the wicked one he is talking about them.
