FAITHFULNESS, n. (1828)

Fidelity; loyalty; firm adherence to allegiance and duty; as the faithfulness of a subject.

Truth; veracity; as the faithfulness of God.

Strict adherence to injunctions, and to the duties of a station; as the faithfulness of servants.

Strict performance of promises, vows or covenants; constancy in affection; as the faithfulness of a husband or wife.

When there is faithfulness in the walk, there are ENSAMPLES for others to follow.

I. We are to be living patterns in Work.

1 Thessalonians1:3

Conversion.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith,

Compassion.

and labour of love,

Commitment.

Waiting on Christ.

and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

Watched by God.

in the sight of God and our Father;

II. We are to be living patterns in Witnessing.

1 Thessalonians1:8

It was what they preached.

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia,

It was where they preached,

but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad;

It was Who they preached.

so that we need not to speak any thing.

III. We are to be living patterns in Waiting.

1 Thessalonians1:10

Our service.

And to wait for his Son from heaven,

Our Saviour.

whom he raised from the dead,

Our security.

even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
