Woe from Matthew - Not the Woe and blessed from Luke
Today we heard 2 of Matthews 7 Woes
All of them are used to accuse them of Hypocrocy and creating burdens
There hypocrocy was telling the people how to live a holy Jewish life, but not doing it themselves
White washed tomb vs dead bones
Opposite of 1st reading Paul to The Thessalonians
labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you
holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers
There was little faith when Jesus walked this earth because of the Hypocrocy
But in Thessalonia we hear
that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God
Important question for all of us .... Is there hypocrocy in our lives
Wife’s cousing lost her faith .... Grandmother would always pray her rosary but was a terrible mean person
Could we be that same way
In Particular for us clergy. Woe was to denounce leaders. We must always ask ourselves
