The resurrection is important, because if it is not true the gospel is not true. But both the resurrection and the gospel is true. And we ought to live today in the light of the reality of the resurrection to come, not only as a sign that we have placed our faith in Christ, but also as a witness that others will believe and be baptised and know the assurance of eternal life to come too. All by God's grace, and to his glory.
