§  Pray for blessings, happiness, and God’s favor on those who mistreat you!

 

*PRAY FOR WORKERS*

*Luke 10:2 (NIV) \\ *2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

*Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field*.

*Luke 10:2 (Amplified New Testament) \\ *2 And He said to them, The harvest indeed is abundant there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few.

Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

*PRAY FOR THE KINGDOM TO COME*

*Luke 11:2 (NASB95) \\ *2 And He said to them, “*When you pray*, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name.

*Your kingdom come*.

/Your will be done [held holy and revered] on earth as it is in heaven./

§  Pray for the coming of the kingdom

*PRAY FOR DAILY BREAD*

*Luke 11:3 (NASB95) \\ *3 ‘*Give us each day our daily bread*.

*Luke 11:3 (Amplified New Testament) \\ *3 Give us daily our bread food for the morrow].

*Application*

§  Pray for your daily needs

*PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS*

*Luke 11:4a (NASB95) \\ *4 ‘And *forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us*.

 

*Luke 11:4a (Amplified New Testament) \\ *4 And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us [who has offended us or done us wrong].

*Application*

§  Pray for forgiveness—but remember, until you forgive you are not forgiven!

§  Cannot say, “I forgive, but I will never forget!

Forgive as you are forgiven by God!

 

*PRAY TO BE RESCUED FROM TEMPTATION*

*Luke 11:4b (NASB95) \\ *And *lead us not into temptation*.’

§  Pray to be rescued from temptation

*PRAY FOR THE STRENGTH THAT DOES NOT GIVE UP*

*Luke 18:1 (NIV) \\ *1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always *pray and not give up*.

*Luke 18:1 (Amplified New Testament) \\ *1 *A*LSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).

*Application*

§  Pray you won’t give, or be cowardly!

§  We are to be consistently doing our mission!

*PRAY FOR YOUR ESCAPE FROM TRIBULATION*

*Luke 21:36 (NIV) \\ *36 Be always on the watch, and *pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man*.”

*Luke 21:36 (Amplified New Testament) \\ *36 Keep awake then /and/ watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have the full strength /and/ ability /and/ be accounted worthy to escape all these things [taken together] that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

 

*Application*

§  Pray for you escape from future tribulation, that you may stand before Christ—with Him saying, “well done!”

 

*PRAY TO DELIVERED BEFORE YOU LEAD YOURSELF TO RUIN*

*Luke 22:40,46 (NIV) \\ *40 On reaching the place, he said to them, “*Pray that you will not fall into temptation*.”

46 “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them.

“Get up and *pray so that you will not fall into temptation*.”

*Luke 22:40,46 (Amplified New Testament) \\ *40 And when He came to the place, He said to them, Pray that you may not [at all] enter into temptation.

46 And He said to them, Why do you sleep?

Get up and pray that you may not enter [at all] into temptation.

*Application*

§  In Luke 11:4, the thought is to be rescued by God from temptation

§  Here the thought is to pray that you may be watchful to rescue yourself BEFORE you enter temptation through carelessness or disobedience!
