I have a couple things I felt were important to share regarding this trip.
The first of which is to say just how proud I am of these guys. This week wasn’t one of the hardest working weeks, but it was certainly a week where there was a lot of working together and coming out of comfort zones and they excelled!
This specific mission trip was unique, because for the first time for me leading them and even when I went with Jane, we had more new kids than one’s who went.
For those who don’t know me super well, I’m pretty go with the flow and so this year the night before Caitlyn came to me and said…tell the story about Kaylee and Brianna
Now, obviously if this were to be anywhere else other than at home and for the overall cost it was to participate, it probably couldn’t have worked out the way it did. But, it did and I’m thankful because this group was great!
Speak about how having no expectations and how other years you usually have expectations cause most of the time you know how everyone works together.
The second thing, I wanted to speak on was about an incident that occured on Wednesday afternoon while serving food for Mineral Area Fine Arts at MAC.
These kids truly fulfilled Isaiah 6:8
And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
Where God prepared and laid out for me to take them, they went and they were ready to go!
Thank you for coming tonight, and just showing these teens that you care about them and their experiences. I know it means a lot to them!
