Sermon Series: Back to the basics

Today’s message’s is on the unseen world.

The great battles, the battles that decide our destiny and the destiny of generations yet unborn, are not fought on public platforms, but in the lonely hours of the night and in moments of agony.

We have looked at the heart; Last we learned on the voices we are listening too and how bad company corrups good people, today we are going to be looking at the unseen world.

Title: Arm yourself with the Armor of God

Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

Spiritually ranking angels:

“fallin angels” Strong holds of sickness; murder, child slavery,

The Apostle paul: Was laying down some guide lines to walk in the Lite and the fight was not carnal but, the darkness in the unseen world.

Point 1 There is a war around us

For Paul did not call the believer to enter into “spiritual warfare”. he simply announced it as a fact: “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but (We do wrestle) against principalities in the spiritual releam.

These principalities are no longer hiding in the shadows but instead operating in plain sight: These Strong holds have overtaken are political, education, spiritual, and finacal, music, Games; Phone and the entertament indistry.

There are such spirits as Jezebel, and Bal operating in plain site, though these indiviuals where lived over 2,000 years ago, these spirits have been let loose in the unseen world.

2 Corinthians 10:3–4 “For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”

A. We must never forget that the battle is not against flesh and blood but the princaplities that we cant see.

B. Have you ever see a person who is under the influence and they are complete different people? You actually can feel sorry for them.

We label them as: A drug addict; homless, junky :

How do you think God looks down on his son lost?

Point 2 Honor your father and mother: This commandment with a promise

Ephesians 6:1–4 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), FLow with the youth

“that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

A. Not have conviction of the holy spirit, or knowlede of the unseen world we can be more vonrable to letting the wrong people into are lives, and tempted with feels good, tastes good and looks good.

B. When the spirit is active in are lives, we have a deep conviction of the truth “What is right or wrong”.

C. John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

-Youth obey your parents and honor them, They can see things you cant. Your parents only want whats best for you. B

Parents: Fill yourself with the presence, word, and the truth of God.

That they can see the hunger and love towards The Lord in you, AND DONT “PICK and provoke them”.

Point 3 “Putting on the Armor”

HOW DO WE DEFEAT THE BATTLE IN ARE MIND?AND AROUND US?

Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

Taking captive everythougt captive that comes to your mind, by the blood of Jesus.

EVIL WILL ATTACK: BUT TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD: THAT YOU WILL WITHSTAND EVIL when you get tested.

Ephesians 6:14 “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”

IN THIS TRUTH, YOU BELIEVE IN: NOTHING CAN COME TO DETOUR YOU.

Breastplate of Righteousness: WAs to protect the vitual organs of a soldier; We can battle against spiritual enemies in our own lives, “This armor of prayer will protect us”.

If you live for the “rightouessness of God” he will protect you and fight for you.

LETS ARM OUR SELVES WITH THE WORD OF GOD;
