Acts 2:42 DUMP

To give us a timeline

that leads us to Acts 2. After Jesus resurrected,

He had appeared to the disciples

and said to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit

and then Jesus ascended into Heaven

Then on the Day of Pentecost

is when the Holy Spirit came and

fell upon the believers

and they started speaking in tongues

and it got the attention of the surrounding Jews

celebrating Pentecost

and Peter stood up and preached the gospel

then we read in Acts 2:40-41

Acts 2:40–41 NKJV

40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
