**Introduction:**
Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well today. You know, in the age of social media, we’re so focused on putting our best image forward, capturing that "perfect" photo or story. But today, I want to talk about something deeper than our digital persona: Who are you when no one is looking?
---
**1. The True Test of Character:**
"The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity." - Proverbs 11:3 (CSB)
You see, true character isn’t about who we are when we’re on stage or in front of our friends. True character is who we are in the shadows, in the hidden corners, in the quiet moments when we think nobody sees.
---
**2. God Sees Everything:**
"For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him." - 2 Chronicles 16:9 (CSB)
God's not just watching you like some Big Brother in the sky trying to catch you doing something wrong. He's looking to bless, guide, and be strong for those who are genuinely, wholeheartedly seeking Him.
---
**3. The Danger of Living a Double Life:**
Living one way in public and another way in private? That's exhausting! But more than that, it's spiritually dangerous.
"No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other." - Matthew 6:24 (CSB)
We can't lead double lives and expect our spiritual lives to flourish. We need to choose who we're going to serve and be consistent in that choice, both in public and in private.
---
**4. The Blessings of Integrity:**
"Better a poor man who lives with integrity than a rich man who distorts right and wrong." - Proverbs 28:6 (CSB)
Our culture glorifies success, wealth, and popularity. But God values something much more essential: integrity. And there's such freedom in living an authentic life, where you are the same person on the inside as you portray on the outside.
---
**5. The Ultimate Example - Jesus:**
Jesus didn't just talk about living righteously; He lived it. When He was alone in the desert, tempted by Satan (Matthew 4), He didn't give in. He remained consistent in His character, in public and private.
---
**Conclusion:**
We’re in this together. The challenge for all of us is to live with integrity, to be genuine and consistent in our character. Let's not get caught up in the trap of trying to be someone on the outside that we're not on the inside.
And remember, God sees. He sees our efforts, our struggles, and our desire to live for Him. And He's cheering us on every step of the way.
Let's commit today to be people of integrity, no matter who is or isn't looking.
