Why does God redeem his people?
God redeems his people when they stray. (1-2)
God uses the redemption of Gomer to portray his redemption.
Money is no object
The cost does not matter when the object is important - God is willing to pay the cost.
We can trust God to redeem His people.
God expects his people to change when redeemed. (3-5)
Hosea’s wife is told to leave her lovers, just as the Israelites are told to leave their false deities.
Leave it there
We can’t leave something if we go back to get it.
We can leave our old sinful ways.
We can enjoy redemption through Jesus Christ.
