God is Transcendent

God is unlike us - Isaiah 55:8-9

Isaiah 55:8–9 NIV
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We cannot understand or comprehend God

Romans 11:33–36 NIV
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

As Creator and sustainer of everything, God’s understanding is complete - Colossians 1:15-17

Colossians 1:15–17 NIV
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Moses was told that no man could every see God and survive

We must conclude that God is never overwhelmed because of His transcendence

God is Immanent

Jeremiah 29:11–12 NIV

God invites us to come near to Him - James 4:8

James 4:8 NIV
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

God has chosen to make our lives fruitful - John 15:16

John 15:16 NIV
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

God will never leave us alone or vulnerable - Hebrews 13:5-6

Hebrews 13:5–6 NIV
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
