Introduction
When I am waiting for an appointment, such as in a barbershop or doctor’s office, I make a conscious effort to stay off my phone. Sometimes I people watch, sometimes I bring a book, sometimes I pick up a magazine; anything to fill my time without being on my phone. I remember one time sitting in a waiting room and picking up a brain teaser off the table. You know the ones I am talking about. They are simple puzzles, many times just a few pieces, and the goal is to disassemble the parts and put the puzzle back together. If you manage to solve the puzzle, it is such a satisfying feeling.
At least I imagine you would be satisfied. I wouldn’t know because the only feeling I have ever felt while toying with one is frustration. Simple objective and simple parts, but by the time my name is called, I am ready to chuck the little toy across the room. Even if I do manage to get it apart, putting it back together is sometimes the more difficult task.
My brother just has a knack for puzzles. He can pick it up and within a few minutes have it solved and move onto the next one. I need the step-by-step instructions
