On the day that you were created They were prepared. 14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 “You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created Until unrighteousness was found in you.

How God defines beauty

God is the source of beauty
But sin has muddled our concept of what isa beautiful and what is not.
our standard for beauty has become superficial/shallow/external

The standard of true beauty is in God

Psalm 96:6 NASB 2020
6 Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Psalm 27:4 NASB 2020
4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.

Holiness is true beauty

2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in holy attire.
Psalm 29:2 NKJV
2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

God requires holiness in worship

Psalm 96:9 NASB 2020
9 Worship the Lord in holy attire; Tremble before Him, all the earth.
praise is beautiful to God
Psalm 33:1 NASB 2020
1 Sing for joy in the Lord, you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright.
Psalm 147:1 NASB 2020
1 Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is beautiful.

True beauty is a work of God

Beauty is a result of God working in our lives using some of the things that we usually ignore
Ecclesiastes 3:1–10 NASB 2020
1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven— 2 A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4 A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance. 5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. 6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak. 8 A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace. 9 What benefit is there for the worker from that in which he labors? 10 I have seen the task which God has given the sons of mankind with which to occupy themselves.
