I. God's love transforms us.
Everything we receive from God must be activated by faith."
"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him." (1 John 4:9)
Exegesis: John is explaining that God demonstrated His truly supernatural, sacrificial love by sending Jesus to die for us. This lavish love brings about new birth and eternal life. Hook: Have you encountered the transforming power of God's love? It remakes us from the inside out!
Sometimes you need to get out of your own way."
II. God's love compels us.
"For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died." (2 Cor 5:14)
To say 'I love you' you must first be able to say 'I.'"
Exegesis: Paul says Christ's love leaves us with no other option than full devotion. When we grasp the magnitude of His love shown at the cross, we become captured by it.
Hook: Once you've experienced the reckless love of God, you'll never be the same. It propels us into Kingdom purpose!
Never pursue love, pursue purpose and love will find you."
III. God's love heals us.
"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." (Psalm 103:2-3)
Exegesis: The Psalmist links God's loving forgiveness of our sins to His power to heal our bodies. Total restoration of body, mind and spirit flows from God's great love.
Hook: God's love can bring deep emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing. His love makes us whole!
Obedience always demands a sacrifice."
Conclusion: You can never love God too much."
God's supernatural love is available to transform, compel, and heal each of us. Will you receive it today? There is no greater power on earth than God's amazing love!
Let's pray and open all the depths of our hearts to encounter the supernatural, unconditional love of God through Christ today.
Write an expository sermon with hooks for each point and exegesis the whole entire sermon and give a powerful conclusion and the sermon is on the supernatural power of God's love
His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
