1.) 3-2-1 Gospel

If I were to ask you what is the most popular verse in all of the Bible? What verse comes to mind?
if you just thought of John 3:16 you would be correct>
we see this versus all over the place, but have you ever stop to think about how important the message of this verse really is?
in fact, this verse tells us the greatest story of all times.
I like to call it 3 2 1 gospel message.
Listen to the verse “
for God, so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life”
friends, there are three characters in this gospel story.
God, Man and Jesus
God, a perfect, holy righteous God,
loved the world that’s us mankind, but we have a problem we are not perfect, in fact we are all full of sin,Something God hates,
But He so loved so much us that he gave his only Son that’s Jesus -a perfect substitute who could pay for our sin.
This verse also tell us that all of mankind will spend an eternity on one of two destines
they will either perish forever in Hell as punishment for their sin or they will spend eternal life with Jesus in Heaven
So the question we all must ask is “ How do we change our destiny from an eternity in Hell to an eternity with God in Heaven?
The answer is Right in the middle of the verse
BELEIVE IN JESUS
Friends the gospel is simple - if you don’t Believe in Jesus, you will perish forever in hell, But God compelled by his love for you sent you away of escape through Belief in Jesus.
This is the gospel Message. God loves you and is offering you a gift of Salvation today . All you have to do to receive this free gift is to believe in Jesus
Remember There are
3 Characters in the gospel message - God Man and Jesus
there are 2 Destinies for all of mankind - Heaven or Hell
and there is only 1 WAY to change your destiny - BELIEVE IN JESUS
“For God so Loved the World that HE gave his only Son that whoever believes in Him Will not perish but will have everlasting Life”

2.) Greatest Story

I dont know about you but I love a good story- In fact, I Really love a good fishing story-
A few years ago I went Muskie Fishing on Clear lake with my 7 year old son.
A few years ago I went musky fishing with my seven year old son, and I caught the biggest fish of my Life. I had caught a 43” Muskie. it was huge , And I was so proud of it. After we took an amazing picture of the fish we let it go, and I did what every good fisherman does.- I started texting pictures - bragging to all my buddies about the giant 43” Muskie I had just caught.
And while I was still sending the pictures my son says” dad I think I got one too! and my instant response was no you probably just have weeds again, and he goes, No dad this one is fighting back, and I look and he has a giant fish on his line too. I put my phone grab the net and hep him get it into the bought. It was a big fish in fact, it was a 44” Muskie - One inch longer than the one I just caught.- All of my fame was over- my 7 year old son had just out fished me.
I love good fishing story , But there is a story that is so much greater than any fishing story I could ever tell.
Its the story that God Loves you so much that he chose to send his only son to die for you. Do you understand what this story means?
It means that you no longer have to stand guilty of your sins. it means that You can be forgiven and that burden of sin that you are carrying around with you can be removed from your life forever .
Romans 5:8 ESV
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Friends God isn’t waiting for you to be good enough to Save- He is in the business of saving sinners just like me and you.
Understand that there is no sin in your life that is greater than Gods love for you. His pool of grace that he is offering is greater than any pool of sin you may be carrying.
This my friends is the greatest story I could ever share with you.
The Bible says that all we have to do to receive this salvation is to Accept Jesus into our lives. to Believe in Him as our savior.
Don’t let a fishing experience be the greatest story of your life, Accept Jesus Today and become part of His story- the greatest story ever told.
Im Pastor jason From Clear Lake Baptist church and if you would like to know more about God’s story for your life ,Please reach out, I would love to tell you more.

3.) Let your Light shine

A few years ago my wife and I had the privilege to go deep into a cave, and while we were down in this cave our guide asked us Have you ever felt what it is like to be in complete darkness?
My response was simple- Well yah Ive been in the dark All the time,
But he said thats not what I mean , Have you ever been in a place where you could feel the darkness all around you?
He then told us to give him our lanterns and one by one he shut them off.
As I sat in that cave I could feel the complete darkness around me. The cool damp air, the complete quietness and the absence of even the smallest glimpse of light.
I felt completely alone.
And if I was left in this state I knew that there was no hope of me ever finding my way out of that cave.
IF He had left me there I would have been completely consumed by that darkness.
But after a few minutes when the hopelessness was becoming uneasy He simple light a small match.
And do you know what happened, The darkness began to drift away. That small light lit up the entire cavern we were sitting in. It brought us hope, It gave us peace . It pushed the darkness away and didn't allow it to come back.
Did you know that the bible uses the terms darkness and light to refer to the gospel message in our lives
In Ephesians 5:8
Ephesians 5:8 ESV
8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
Friends the truth is very simple- If someone has never accepted Jesus as their savior, They are still in complete Darkness. They are lost in their sin, they have no hope, they have no peace and they have no way of escape unless someone brings a light into your life.
Jesus tells the church in Matthew 5 “ you are the light the world
Jesus has given his followers the light that can bring hope to the darkness of the world.
Friends - Let your light shine brightly today. Be the gospel message that brings the light of salvation to those who are still in the dark.
I’m Pastor Jason with Clear Lake Baptist- if you would like to talk more about how you can have the light of Christ in your life please teach out to me.

4.) Following Jesus

When My kids were younger we loved to go on hikes through the woods.
And I always loved winter hikes in the snow with my two boys.
As we would start out on our hike - You would see three sets of tracks Mine, and both of my boys, but after while you would only see two, and then eventually just one.
Why was that? Well its simple, As we went farther and farther on our journey, my boys learned that it was much easier to walk in my footsteps than to try and go it on their own.
Did you know that Jesus has told us as his followers to walk in his footsteps. listen to 1 Peter 2:21
1 Peter 2:21 (NIV): "To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps."
Friends
As followers of Jesus, we are called to walk in His footsteps, imitating His life and character. and this verse in 1 Peter reminds us of the example Jesus left for us to follow through His suffering and His sacrifice. Christians Jesus isn’t asking you to try and do it on your own- He is asking you to walk in his footsteps.
Just as Jesus endured hardships and remained faithful for the glory of God the Father , we are called to do the same in our lives as his followers.
Walking in the footsteps of Jesus means imitating His life and character. It requires aligning our lives with His teachings, loving others sacrificially the way he did, and living a life of righteousness and holiness that brings all the praise and glory to God the father.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to embrace the challenges of this world, persevere in sharing his gospel, and find our fulfillment in walking His path.
Christian, I ask you this question, Are you walking in the footsteps of Jesus or are you still trying to make your own path?
Don’t live your life leaving your own impressions on this world. Live your life in the footsteps of Jesus , pointing others to him and the glory of the One he lived His life for.
Im pastor Jason from Clear Lake Baptist have a blessed day

5.) I’M OKAY, WHY SHOULD I CHANGE ?

If you call yourself a Christian I want to ask you one simple question today,
When you look at your life, are you satisfied with what you see?
Seriously, Think about your life right now as a follower of Jesus, are you satisfied with your Christianity?
Are you ok with how much time you spend each day in prayer and reading the Bible?
Do you feel like you go to church enough, or serve enough or share the gospel enough?
Maybe this morning you are telling yourself "I'm a “pretty good” follower of Jesus Christ. I do most of the things the Bible says I should do, and I try not to do the things it says I shouldn't do.
Can you relate to this? When you look at your life compared to others do you feel good about your walk with Jesus.
Friends listen to what God says about this type of thinking In Rev. 3:15-16
Jesus speaking to a church of Christians “  15 “I know all the things you do, but you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!
Friends even Though we may think that we are okay because we live a pretty good "Christian" life, God says that a pretty Good Christian life is despicable when become content with where we are at as a believer.
God didn’t save you to be pretty Good Christian- You saved you to Be a growing Christian.
Friends Dont be content with where you are at- Continue to grow in your relationship with God.
Pray right now and ask God what is the next step you want me to take in my walk with Jesus. Maybe its salvation , maybe its Baptism, Maybe its church membership, maybe its serving, But friends whatever it is - take the step- dont be content with where you are at right now. Live a life that looks more and more like Jesus every day.
