A message of salvation

Notes
Transcript
What are we talking about?
As I demonstrated in my testimony we are broken.
Recognize that sin separates you from God.
Sin is an human activity that is contrary to God’s will.
Romans 3:23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Also as I shared, it wasn’t something I did, it was Jesus’ work.
Recognize that Jesus Christ died and rose again to conquer sin.
Resurrection means to “rise again;” to return to life after death.
Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
I was ready to kill myself not realizing I deserved death because of the discord and strife I participated in.
Recognize that while we deserved death and condemnation, God desires us to live forever with Him
Condemnation is a decision of guilty in a criminal case with the understanding of punishment coming.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I would have never fathomed that the faith that leads to salvation would be so simple.
Recognize how easy it is to receive eternal life.
Salvation is similar word to saving or rescue; a hope for divine deliverance from our sins and transgressions.
Romans 10:9 “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
So what now?
Is Jesus calling you?
Prayer time - Bow heads, close eyes.
If you feel God tugging on your heart, pray with me:
Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins so that I could be made right with you. I know that I have sinned and fallen short and that I need to be forgiven. Please forgive me and save me from myself. I entrust myself to your authority and mercy and thank you for paying my debt. I accept your gift of salvation; thank you for bringing me to new life. In Jesus name, AMEN!
According to Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
If you have trusted the LORD in your heart and prayed along with me for the first time tonight, stand up to the glory of Jesus!
If you had previously accepted Jesus but were feeling convicted and felt the need to rededicate your life to Jesus, stand for Jesus!
Don’t let this moment pass! Come and meet someone by the cross and share!
