Glory to Glory!

God has greater plans for you!

Do you ever feel like there’s something better just out of reach?

Do you struggle to believe you will ever reach it?

You were created for glory.

You were created to carry glory and to share glory!

Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Freedom unleashes the glory of God!

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Spirit= Freedom/Liberty

John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Some of y’all are wanting freedom, but you are trying to attain it with the flesh.

You can’t!

3. God’s glory increases!

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

I’m not where I want to be, but thank God I’m not where I used to be!

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”

Haggai 2:9 “‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.””

God wants His glory to increase in you in order that you can have peace! Shalom! Nothing missing nothing broken!

The more whole you become the more glory arises within you!

4. The current glory should never keep us from the future glory!

We can look back at how far we have come and settle for better when God wants us to press in for greater glory!

Don’t ever stop pressing in!

Don’t ever stop wanting more of God!

Don’t ever stop seeking, chasing, being desperate for His presence!

Too many followers of Jesus are content with where they are at!

They are stagnating and falling back into old ways.

5. In order to move to the next glory, we need to appreciate the glory we have now!

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

The verse doesn’t say He takes us from mess to glory! He takes us from GLORY to GLORY!

No matter how tough you’ve got it right now…you are in glory!

No matter how much you’ve struggled lately…you are in glory!

No matter how lonely the road, how challenging the climb, how tiring the journey, how tall the giant, how impossible the situation…YOU HAVE GLORY NOW!

Stop focusing on your failures and start appreciating the glory God has given you!

6. Be prepared to do the work necessary to enter the season of glory!

Back to point 5 for a moment- God did a lot of glorious things in those other places…but He has something better!

In order to get to the better though there is work to be done!

Cleaning out

Cleaning up

Trash

Sweeping/Mopping

Moving

Some of y’all are wanting the greater glory, but you aren’t willing to prepare for it!

Some of you are wanting the greater glory, but you want to be in control of how it comes and what it looks like.

Some of you are so focused on the mess and how much work there is to do that it keeps you stuck and you can’t move into greater glory!
