One Church
Carlos, what is the gospel?
Ephesians 4:4–6 (ESV)
4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
We are one church until we are all one church.
The unity we
If the church is defined by a building, then we might be considered one church. If the church is defined by Worship styles we are two churches. If the church is defined by culture we are two churches. If the church is defined by language, we are two churches, if the churches defined backgrounds, ethnicities, countries, then we are two churches or many churches, but if the church is defined by one Lord one Faith and one baptism and the people who are part and believe that then we are one church

One Mission
Acts 1:6–8 (ESV)
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
While the purpose of the church is to glorify God, the mission of the church is to witness Christ.
This happens as we show Christ’s love and share Christ’s gospel.
“The reign of Christ is jeopardized when any organizational structure becomes an end in itself. This happens whenever the institution places all its energy in its own maintenance.
When the visible church is primarily concerned with its image, its growth, its success, and its security, thin it is ripe for conversion to the reign of Christ, who lays bare and sets aside all these idols.
Just as flirtation with false gods remained a continual problem for Israel, the Christian community must contend constantly with temptations that would set up idols to replace Christ the King.”
