Doing an invintory of what God has given for a specific task or mission is important. As a practice in life in general, this can help believers to live a more intentionally lived and grateful life in pursuit of God no matter the circumstances, as circumstances will change throughout life. Life, love, heartache, purpose, dispare, disease, health, justice, in-justice, etc. What season are you in? What do you have to be thankful for? What do you have at your disposal to use for God's kingdom? Paul made tents. Luke was a doctor who was also a writer. Jesus was a carpenter. Matthew was a tax collector. Peter was a fisherman. Abraham was a herdsman nomad.

Prepared

Moved some items in the parsonage and the church to prepare for the carpet cleaners.
I got to thinking about how when we move or prepare a place we have an opportunity to inventory and realize how much we have and what we’ve been equipped with. I have no idea how many hymnals and Bibles we have just in the sanctuary. It’s a lot!
When we come together, when we pull together, we’ve been equipped with Morant, prepared to do more than what we realize
Also, we have more than what we think. And that’s a perspective thing. We forget what’s been given to us or what it is that we have to be used to bring glory to God.
This also impacts our peace and joy because it deals with contentment. When we don’t intentionally take the time to reflect on what the Lord has given us and done for us, it becomes easier for the enemy to blind us to the blessings of God.
Paul knew what it meant to be content, having taken the time to remember both his times of plenty and time of scarcity. God is good and present during both times.
Do we meet because of tradition or because we have a place or because we have the freedom, do we meet because it’s convenient? Where do we meet because we realize how vital that it is that we do? Do we meet because we know that we were told to as it says in Scripture? Do we realize that God knows what’s best for us and so it’s clearly what is best for us to do, to prioritize meeting together . If we’re only meeting together out of obligation, or because of empty rituals, we meet in vain, and we do not glorify God anyway, that’s pleasing to him, in a way that we ought to when we come together for his purposes. For the reasons that he gives us.
Neglecting Gods graces…blessings…etc.
