Let me do a exercise with you.
I am going to ask you a question, and you are going to raise your hand. Be honest. I am going to ask that for the time everyone close your eyes DONT FALL ASLEEP, and be honest
Rase Your Hand If:
If you Read the Bible outside of school and church
You Beleave that the Bible is Completely True
You Believe that Jesus is Messah ( Son of God)
If You Struggle with your belief
For us to believe the word we must read the word
for us to live the word we must believe the word
For many of us, we dont live it because we dont really believe it.
John 8:12 (ESV): I Am the Light of the World
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
For us to walk in light we my walk with Jesus
We struggle in the dark
We feel left out in the dark
Jesus offers us light.
We must CHOOOSE light, NOT DARKNESS
John 12:44–50 (ESV): Jesus Came to Save the World
44 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. 45 And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. 47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”
Jesus created a way to get out of the darkness
to break what binds us
to stop the hurt
If we follow him
Truly follow him
We are judged by the word of God
So we must be in the word
We have access to light but we have to use it.
What do we do with the light. Shine it not hide it.
21 And he said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand? 22 For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” 24 And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. 25 For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
