GOD AND GENDER

Introduction:

As our congregation has gotten younger, praise God, the need to preach this message grows larger. 100 years ago, I would have been laughed at for preaching this message. 50 years ago, this message would have been unnecessary. 30 years ago, this message was starting to become a possibility. Today, this message is a necessity because all school-aged children are being taught lies about what I am going to discuss today.

Preachers, today, are having to defend the Bible in areas that were previously unquestioned. One such topic is gender. If you had told me something about gender fluidity in 1984 when I was a senior at Dyersburg High School, not only would I have laughed in your face, but Mr. Terry Glover would have shown you the door, but today our children are bombarded with nonsense about gender.

Because they are bombarded with the lies of the devil 8 hours a day for 13 years of public school and 4 years of college, preachers must submit the entire counsel of God.

Today, hopefully, we are going to look at three points:

It is God who designed gender.

It is God who determines gender.

It is Satan who is seeking to destroy gender.

1. It is God who designed gender. (Genesis 2:7-25)

Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person.”

Genesis 2: 18 “Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.””

Genesis 2:21-25 “So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “At last this is bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called ‘woman,’ Because she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked, but they were not ashamed.”

GOD CREATED MAN.

God scooped up some dust, formed that dust into man, and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and that pile of dirt became Adam. END OF STORY.

Man was perfectly created by God. Everything that God touches is perfected, and when he finished creating Adam, Adam was perfect too. Most of the confusion in this world begins with the attacking of God’s design.

The Book of Beginnings, Genesis, says that God created man in His image.

The Bible does not say that it took millions of years for man to evolve. It just took God a matter of seconds to scoop up that dirt, shape Adam, and breathe into him, and that is the bottom line. It does not matter what Charles Darwin says. It matters not what science says. It matters not what the university says. It matters not what Tennessee’s public schools say.

Let me ask you a question. Now admittedly, I am as old as that dust God scooped to form Adam, but why does the public school system want our children starting at the age of three today? As a matter of fact, one high school in this area as a daycare for new born infants. I did not go to preschool, and kindergarten was not mandatory, and I turned out just fine if you consider a high school diploma, a college degree, a master’s degree, and a half of a doctorate being fine.

I tell you why. Like Adolf Hitler said: “Give me your youth, and I will give you the world.” The devil has changed it a little bit. The devil is saying: “Give them to me younger and younger, and they will belong to the world.”

Listen to me. My ancestors did not crawl out of a swamp blessed with a tail to hang from a tree so I could swing like a monkey.

The goal of Satan from the very beginning pages of history has been to deceive man. Behind all deception is a lie.

Satan’s main deception is to convince the world that God did not create. Man evolved. God had nothing to do with it. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I am telling you if you buy that nonsense, you deny God, and the Bible calls you a fool.

God designed and created man.

Have you ever thought about how ridiculous it is to believe that something as complex as the human body began as a tadpole and grew legs in a swampy ooze? No wonder we have the Easter bunny, leprechauns, and elves running around in the world. People will believe anything.

God not only designed man, but He also designed woman.

Genesis 2:21 says God took the woman from the man, and man has had a pain in the side ever since. The Bible says that God took the woman from the man. When God did that, He designed two distinct genders. If woman was taken from man, she would never be put back into man. There was Adam, but when God took woman out from him, it was Adam and Woman, two genders designed by God.

If you pay careful attention to the Bible, it says that God took the woman from the man, and then He brought her to the man.

That is God’s plan. Adam and the woman were to be one. Now, let me ask you a question. If they were to be one, who is superior? Neither of them. They are equal. Every person in this building has a soul mate intended for him or her. That is God’s plan. That is what God designed. He designed a man to be with woman and woman to be with man.

He did not pull Steve out of Adam to be with Adam. He pulled the woman out to be with Adam. That is God’s plan. Can I say this? Do you know why there are so many divorces today? Because too many people get married too quickly not waiting on their soul mate that God has intended for them.

2. It is God who determines gender!!!!!!!!********

Listen to me as I am about to tell you an absolute truth.

You do not have a secret gender trapped in you waiting to get out. Just another lie from Satan. Your gender was determined before you were conceived. (Psalm 139:13-14, Jeremiah 1:5, Luke 1:13-15)

Psalm 139:13-14 “For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.”

Jeremiah 1:5 ““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

Luke 1:13-15 “But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice over his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.”

Gender is determined before conception. God does not, does not, does not, does not ever leave anything to randomness. He makes no mistakes. If you are born a male, guess what? This is shocking, you are a male. If you are born female, guess what? You are a female.

All life comes from God. It is God who determines our genders, of which there are only two, before we were conceived. It is really ridiculous to think otherwise, and I tell you what else is ridiculous. Many in this country would hear this message and think that I have lost my ever-loving mind.

“Jimmy, he has had that tendency to be a girl is entire life.” That might be that case, but as his parent, you are to correct those behaviors, training him in the way he should go, and if you do that, he will leave that nonsense behind, and if nothing else works, apply the board of education to the seat of knowledge until that other gender does not even want to come out.

Instead of being parents training our children in the ways of the Bible, we take them to a counselor. We turn them over to the guidance department of some immoral school system who many times has no issue indoctrinating your child into the gender fluid world of today’s society.

God is the CREATOR. He designed man and woman, and He determines the gender of His creation before conception.

3. It is Satan seeking to destroy gender.

It is Satan’s desire to destroy gender. God designed two genders. Satan says there are who knows how many.

Let me tell you how the devil has so attacked gender in our society, and I am going to use how he has attacked gender in the church.

A. Submission and Order

Ephesians 5:22-23 “Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.”

As soon as this passage is read in churches, most of the women immediately think that Paul is saying women are inferior, and most men think that Paul is saying they are superior. NO! NO! NO! NO!

Subjection and submission have nothing to do with inferiority or superiority. (Ephesians 5:22-23)

Nowhere in the Bible does God say that a woman is inferior to a man. I challenge you to find it if you think it is in the Bible. Subjection and submission have to do with the order that God intended. Do you know what that order is? (1 Corinthians 11:3)

1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.”

Is God superior to Christ? NO!!!! (Philippians 2:5-7)

Philippians 2:5-7 “Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men.”

If God and Christ are equal, guess who else is equal? Man and woman. Christ submitted to God but was still equal to God. In the exact same way, the woman or wife is to be subject to the man or husband. It is not a question of inferiority. It is just God’s plan.

Do you know what God’s order in the home should be?

Now, you tell me how much Satan has attacked God’s order?

Let me tell you what else Satan is doing to attack gender.

B. Strange Flesh (Genesis 6:4-7, Jude 1:6-7)

Transgenderism and gender affirmation are the greatest attacks on God’s design since the Flood.

I do not say what I am about to say lightly. I believe on September 12, 2023 at 1:30 PM that opened up a truth to me from His Word, and I now understand what is going on. I want to read two passages.

Genesis 6:4-7 “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of mankind, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually. So the Lord was sorry that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Then the Lord said, “I will wipe out mankind whom I have created from the face of the land; mankind, and animals as well, and crawling things, and the birds of the sky. For I am sorry that I have made them.””

Jude 1:6-7 “And angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these angels indulged in sexual perversion and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.”

Before the Flood, the sons of God, the created beings, the fallen angels, had sexual relations with the daughters on man. Now, they may have possessed men to do the act, but that is what happened, and the Bible says that an ungodly, unholy race was born. Genesis 6 makes it clear that the offspring from this unnatural union led directly to God destroying the world by flood.

Jude says that the destruction of Sodom followed in the same way. The reprobates of Sodom sought strange flesh is what the Bible says just as the fallen angels sought strange flesh prior to the Flood. What was that strange flesh? Historically, grandma has said that it is was homosexual relations, but I believe it goes far deeper than that. In Genesis 19, Lot immediately recognizes the two angels, and I believe so do those men of Sodom. Literally, I believe, these men were not desiring homosexual relations. They were desiring strange flesh. They were desiring something they could not have according to God’s design.

Now, fast forward to the New Testament. What does Jesus say about His return? (Luke 19:26-28)

Luke 17:26-28 “And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of Man: people were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, and they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, and they were building;”

As in the days of Noah and as in the days of Lot, the Son of Man will return. Dear friend, I am telling the transgender movement is exactly a type of what went on before the Flood and in Sodom. It goes far beyond homosexuality. It is Satan’s attempt to get man to change what God has designed.

I have said that God designed two genders. God determines gender before conception. If that is the case, if man changes what God has designed, what has man done? It has created strange flesh.

“Jimmy, how do you know what you are saying is true?” Because of God’s Word.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 “What has been, it is what will be, and what has been done, it is what will be done. So, there is nothing new under the sun.”

I do not know any other way to say what I am about to say except to just say it. If a baby boy is born and his parents name him Steve, it was God who designed that baby to be a boy, and it was God who determined that baby was going to be male. If later in life Steve wants to change himself into Stephanie, he has sealed his fate in eternity just as sure as those reprobates of Sodom did and just as sure as those before the flood did.

Changing gender to Stephanie is creating strange flesh, and God hates it. The individual involved is in serious eternal trouble, and those people that are pushing that agenda are going to be consumed by the fires of God’s judgement.

I do not know about all schools, but some schools will talk to your child about changing genders or allowing his or her opposite gender to come out without even talking to you. Kindergarten students in some school districts across this nation are reading books about this nonsense so that their minds can be preconditioned to accept it as being okay. It is Satan’s great deception to attack gender.

CONCLUSION:

It is God who designed gender. It is God who determines gender, and it is Satan who is attacking gender. I challenge you to carefully study this message. I can give you a transcript of it if you like. Our children are being attacked with this gender affirmation nonsense. We are to tell the truth, and the truth is this.

God loves you. He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for your sins so that you can be freed from those thoughts that Satan puts into your head and so that you can live forever with Him in heaven.

Will you come to Jesus today? He will teach you the truth about gender. All you have to do is admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for your sins, and was resurrected on the third day. It is the only way you will ever experience freedom from the world’s lies.
