John 21:1-14

The Disciples go fishing

It is 7 of the 11

They fish all night and catch nothing

Jesus appears to them

As the day is breaking

Throw your net on the right side of the boat

The net was full of fish

John realizes it’s Jesus and Peter responds

They go to Jesus on the shore

Jesus tells them to bring some fish

Peter drags the net full of fish ashore

It is filled with 153 fish

The net does not break

Jesus tells them to come and eat breakfast

What’s the point?

Jesus is the Light

John 8:12- Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus gives the fish to His fishermen

He makes us fishers of men

Mark 1:17- And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

He provides the fish

John 6:37- All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

The net of the Gospel will never tear from overcapacity
