Now that you have dropped everything into the River of God, let’s worship the Lord!

Psalm 145 is the only Psalm that David named */“A Psalm of Praise”/*

 

Although */Psalm 145 thru Psalm 150/* are all /“Praise Psalms”/

 

In *Psalm 145*, David praised the Lord for His mighty acts which,

          are told from one generation to another,

                   for His gracious provision of an everlasting kingdom,

                             and for the manner in which He responds to those who love Him.

Psalm 145 is broken into 3 groups:

/**/Psalm 145:1-7 – Praise for God’s Mighty Acts /*

          Read - */Verses 1-3:/*

                   David vowed to:

                   “/praise the Lord His King and His name every day because He is great.”/

/          /The greatness of the Lord is bottomless;

          *NO ONE* knows its depth.

Read - */Verses 4-7:/*

                   David tells us how:

                   /“Great God’s acts have been which will be declared from generation to                 generation.

Believers tell of the splendor or His majesty, speak of His                   works,/ /meditate on them, sing of them, and celebrate them and His                        goodness.”/

2.                 */Psalm 145:8-10 - Praise for God’s Everlasting Kingdom/*

          Read - */Verses 8-10:/*

                   David then wrote of the:

                             /“Marvelous nature of God, affirming that He is gracious and                               compassionate, slow to anger, and full of loyal love.”/

Because God is good and compassionate to all of us,

                             all of us should praise Him.

Read - */Verses 11-13a:/*

                   Our praise should include:

                             /“our gratitude for His kingdom.

From generation to generation                           are to tell of God’s kingdom, might, mighty acts, and how                                    His kingdom, endures through all generations”/

 

          Read - */Verses 13b-16:/*

                   David then instructed the congregation of the Lord*’s:*

                             /“Grace and mercy to us.

He is faithful to all His promises, He                                         uplifts those of us who fall, He provides food for all, and He                                satisfies our desires.”/

These are the characteristics of the One whose authority is everlasting,              which is why He is called faithful.

          Read - */Verses 17-21:/*

                   David celebrated the Lord for being righteous and loving.

/“Therefore God answers the prayers of the needy – those of us                                         who fear love Him, when we call to Him.”/

 

                   Therefore all believers should praise His name.

God’s greatness and grace are reasons for our praise.

Jesus said in */Luke 19:37-40:/*

          */As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole/*

*/          crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, shouting:  “Blessed is the King who comes in the    Name of the Lord; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the        Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”

But Jesus      answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!”/*

 

Are you willing to allow the /“stones to cry out?”/

I am not willing to let that happen,

          I plan to /praise the Lord/ any way I can,

                   we all should be doing the same thing.

We have made Anchor of Hope a House of Prayer,

We now need to make Anchor of Hope a House of Worship.

Has God ever failed you?

We all have cause to /Praise the Lord/.
