Better To Keep A Vow Than To Not Keep it with Yah.

vow: Binding promises made to God, often as part of a plea for safety, military victory, or a family.
The word vow can have different meanings and translations in Greek and Hebrew, depending on the context and usage. Here are some possible options:
Vow as a noun meaning a solemn promise or pledge to God or to another person: The Greek word for this is εὐχή (euchē), which means a vow, prayer, or wish. The Hebrew word for this is נֶדֶר (neder), which means a vow, votive offering, or thing promised .Vow as a verb meaning to make a solemn promise or pledge: The Greek word for this is εὔχομαι (euchomai), which means to vow, pray, or wish. The Hebrew word for this is נָדַר (nadar), which means to vow, promise, or dedicate
There are many scriptures in the Bible that talk about vows made to the Lord. A vow is a solemn promise or pledge to do something or to abstain from something. Vows can be made to God or to other people, but they should not be taken lightly. The Bible warns us not to make rash or careless vows, and to fulfill what we have vowed. Here are some of the verses that mention vows:
Deuteronomy 23:21-23: This verse tells us that when we make a vow to the Lord, we should not delay in paying it, for God will hold us accountable as sinners. It also says that it is better not to make a vow than to make one and not keep it.Numbers 30:1-162: This chapter gives detailed instructions about the validity and annulment of vows made by men, women, and children. It shows that vows are binding and should be respected, unless they are forbidden by a father or a husband who has authority over the person who made the vow.Psalm 76:113: This verse encourages us to make vows to the Lord and perform them, and to bring gifts to Him who is to be feared.Ecclesiastes 5:4-64: This verse warns us not to make a vow and then forget or refuse to pay it, for that would be displeasing to God and bring His wrath upon us. It also advises us not to let our mouth lead us into sin by making hasty or foolish vows.Matthew 5:33-375: This verse quotes the Old Testament law about not breaking oaths, but then Jesus teaches us not to swear at all, either by heaven or by earth or by anything else. He says that we should simply let our yes be yes and our no be no, so that we may not fall into judgment.
Num 30.2 “2 if a man makes a vow for Yahweh or swears an oath with a binding pledge on himself, he must not render his word invalid; he must do all that went out from his mouth.”
Prov 20.25 “25 It is a snare to humankind to say rashly “It is holy,” and after vows, to scrutinize.”
Lev 27.1-25 “1 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the Israelites, and say to them, ‘When a man makes a vow according to your proper value of persons to Yahweh, 3 if your proper value is for a male from twenty years of age up to sixty years of age, then your proper value shall be fifty shekels of money according to the sanctuary’s shekel. 4 But if it is for a female, then your proper value shall be thirty shekels. 5 And if from five years of age up to twenty years of age, then your proper value shall be twenty shekels for the male and ten shekels for the female. 6 And if from a month of age up to five years of age, then your proper value shall be five shekels of money for the male, and your proper value for the female shall be three shekels of money. 7 And if from sixty years of age and above: if a male, then your proper value shall be fifteen shekels; and for the female, ten shekels. 8 But if he is poorer than your proper value, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the …”
1 sam 1.11 “11 She made a vow and said: “O Yahweh of hosts, if you will look with compassion on the misery of your female servant, and will remember me, and not forget your female servant, and will give to your female servant a male child then I will give him to Yahweh all the days of his life, and a razor will never pass over his head.””
Gen 28.20-22 “20 And Jacob made a vow saying, “If God will be with me and protect me on this way that I am going, and gives me food to eat and clothing to wear, 21 and if I return in peace to the house of my father, then Yahweh will become my God. 22 And this stone that I have set up as a pillar shall be the house of God, and of all that you give to me I will certainly give a tenth to you.””
Num 21.2 “2 Israel made a vow to Yahweh, and they said, “If you will surely give this people into our hand, then we will destroy their cities.””
Deut 23.23 “23 The utterance of your lips you must perform diligently just as you have vowed freely to Yahweh your God whatever it was that you promised with your mouth.”
