Romans 10:14–15 NKJV

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

1 Timothy 3:1–4 NKJV

This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence

That word reverence means deep respect. Tell story about mom being 5 2

Titus 1:6–9 NKJV

if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination. For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

Who this for. Pastors. This is written for pastors. Theses are guidelines. Romans the first verse is talking about preachers. Preachers are just messengers from God. What are one of the most public jobs of a pastor. Preaching.

So how many Pastors, Preachers, Husbands, fathers do we have hear?

Tell the story about Mike. Start with preaching at 17 and being told you are called to be a pastor. Pastor have to lead, guide and protect. That is what what your job is for your family. Congratulations you are all ordained.

To be effective pastors we can not

-Exchange providing for a relationship. For to long men have built a design that if we provide that we don’t have to build relationships.

-This also include ministry work. I was younger could have been accused of this. We have to understand this is the most important ministry.

-Not meeting them were they are or not being initial about entering into there world. Josiah NBA 2k. I promise if you are not entering into there world someone else will.

-Headship over wife has to be earned. I am blessed with a wife that allows me to lead. I will make mistakes. But she allows me to leave because she has gained confidence that I follow the Lord.

How can we become effective Pastors in our family.

-Prayer Every night I pray with my family. This is vital. They have to see there strong father humbling himself to the Lord. So every night we come together and pray. They see dad on his knees. They hear there father petion there heavenly Father. It is not enough to pray for them you have to pray with them. Eventually we empower them to become prayer warrior. Then I am coming to them asking them to pray for me. So what do I teach them to say?

Devotion

We have to give them a devotion. Helping them develop skills to read about the Lord. It starts with a small devotion. Explain my kids process. What I have done is showed him how important it is. Because I do it as well. It is apart of my life. The rules are come Friday the fun does not start until your devotions are caught up. You want to go to basketball practice devotion have to be caught up. You want the PlayStation they have to be caught up. These are some of the rules we already do with school work. So we have to have that same mandate on building a relationship with the Lord. So by learning these scriptures you will be able to learn to pray. Pray the scriptures.

Make no mistake there is a formula to this.

you teach them to pray

then you pray together.

Then I give them a chance to pray. It is so important to help them develop there own voice when they pray.
