Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s eye.
Jesus talks about the importance of reflection
The importance of reflection - the importance of self-evaluation.

Slide 19 - Big Idea
The goal of reflection is to see ourselves as God sees us.
I told you earlier that if I died when I was 80, my tombstone would read 1980-2060. What can we learn by thinking about our lives in that way?
1. The first thing that we can see is that birth date shows us that we were born—that there was a creator, and that someone made us.
2. the whole idea of those dates shows us that we live at a certain point in history. I didn’t live a hundred years ago and I won’t live a hundred years from now. And so how am I being effective by how I live in this point in history?
3. We have a death date on there that reminds us that life is short, that one day we are going to die, and that there is a finite amount of time left before that happens.
That date also begs the question, what happens after death? What happens after I die? And some of you may need to settle that question still.
There is much to reflect on.

Slide 20
15-20 minutes to reflect on things we have talked about. But also some questions.
In pages 4 and 5 of your outline - personal reflection questions.
Verses on the screen to meditate on.
* Possible short break - crossword puzzle on page 8
During this time - quiet, reflective, settle down, take a few deep breaths and really spend some time thinking about where you are in your life right now.
What is it that God might want to draw your focus to in your heart and in your life
