What can we “get by with”?

God sees the sins of His people. (1-7)

God does not fail to see the sins of the Israelites.

I saw that!

Although man often thinks he can “get by with it”, we are mistaken

We cannot hide our sin.

God punishes the sins of His people. (8-15)

God will exact judgement on the Israelites.

Pay the consequences

We do not avoid consequences of sin.

We can see the consequences of sin.

We can avoid sin, knowing that we will not avoid its consequences otherwise.
