The prophecy to Saul and Barnabas did not indicate where they were to go or what they were to do. They may have set out not knowing where they would eventually go, or they may have planned with the church what the next step was in sharing the gospel. At any rate, they were obedient to fulfill the ministry that God had given to both of them.

They started with the island Barnabas called home and moved westward. This is similar to Paul entering Arabia. We don’t know where he went or if he had specific direction for the cities he visited. One can assume that he was led by the Holy Spirit on where to go and not to go.
