All Things Work Together For The Good

Romans 8:28

This passage of Scripture is very reassuring....if you love the Lord! Charles Spurgeon said that no ungodly person would ever love God rightly much less at all.

This a seal, if you will, a guarantee of sorts that every event of life------even suffering, temptation, and trouble....maybe even sin, is used to accomplish our temporary and eternal benefit!

Joseph told his brothers as they were fearful at what they thought would be his retaliation for them selling him to the Egyptians.....Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

God even uses the evil that is performed by evil hearts to fulfill His righteous purpose!

To the called.........those that hear and see the call of salvation by God through Christ!

Those He foreknew.....It was a predetermined choice to set His love on us

Those that hear the call are predestined to be conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus!

The firstborn....the only rightful heir!

At one time we were, but we have fallen from the image of God and Jesus is the only One that bears God’s image and it is only through Him that we receive the inheritance.

Who can be against us if God is for us? Rhetorical question of course.............Paul clarifies this statement.....

No one can be against in the sense that no one can condemn us.......No one can eternally destroy what is God’s!

The evidence is in God the Father not sparing His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all,......if that is so, how will He not freely give us all things........this is in the manner of grace/forgiveness which are God’s true riches.....the only riches that mean anything!

Who can successfully accuse someone whom God has declared righteous?

The answer: NO ONE!

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

One preacher stated that there are 4 reasons that the believer cannot be found guilty: (I would add 5)

Christ’s life....without a perfect life there would be no perfect sacrifice!

Christ’s death

Christ’s resurrection

Christ’s exalted position

Christ’s intercession!

Who can separate us from that kind of love? Nothing! Nothing or no one has the capabilities to!

Because of the love of God through Christ our Lord, we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved/loves us!

Nothing can separate us from that love.............

Principalities: fallen angels/demons

Powers: It could refer to miracles but most likely people in powerful positions!

Height nor depth....astronomy terms referring to high and low points of a star’s path; nothing in our life’s path from beginning to end.

Just in case Paul missed someone or something.........”nor any other created thing”

The Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Now, with these awesome, incredible knowledge.........we know and trust that all things in our lives works together for the good of them that love God, those that are called by His Grace through Christ!

The things that seemingly come against us have no power to separate us from the love of God, then we will respond by faith and trust that whatever happens works for the good!

Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
