Guard Your Heart!

Proverbs 4:23–27 “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.”
Physical heart or internal mind/seat of emotions?
The heart is the source of our emotions and encompasses our mind, soul, and spirit.
The physical heart is the central organ that keeps our physical bodies functioning properly. The biblical (heart) mind/emotion seat is what keeps our mental & spiritual life functioning properly.
The heart is where our character and integrity are stored up.
Our heart is who we are on the inside. It’s where our personality and our emotions come from.
The heart is the emotional/spiritual well that we draw from.
Matthew 12:34 “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
