Building off verse 17 about the present suffering we must endure, Paul points us to the glory which will be ours in Christ Jesus. The implication is that while we remain in this present state, we have not yet fully realized what we are becoming. He highlights that future blessing when our transformation is completed in spirit, mind, and body.
